Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

Anyone watching Dash and Lily on Netflix? It's soooooooooooo good. Dd and I are head over heels for it LOL. We have 3 episodes left.

I’m batting 0-2 for new to me movies this year-watched Midnight at the Magnolia and it was almost as bad as Christmas Wedding Planner. Sigh. Both had zero chemistry between main characters. May have to pick something tried and true for next watch.

That's what I'm doing.

I'm still watching the ones that I know are good.

Yes, that is what I seem to be doing. That's how I ended up with an excess of movies on my DVR at the end of the season last year that became overwhelming to choose which ones to prioritize and watch.

Every time I go to pick a new movie, there happens to be an old favorite on. :cloud9: Even with all the commercials, (I usually multitask and do other stuff while watching, that way I can walk in & out of the room and watch all the good parts.) I end up watching the old favorite - which I KNOW will have all the components I want in a feel good Christmas movie,

than watching a new one that may have a stilted storyline or dialogue, (mostly the Lifetime movies,) or lacking chemistry between the main characters.

It seems my ratio so far is watching 2-3 Hallmark favorites to every new movie. And AGAIN, the new movies in my DVR are piling up. :headache:

I watched A Welcome Home Christmas today that I had recorded Wednesday. It grew on me with a super sweet ending to boot :)
This was the first Christmas movie of this season my husband and I watched together (I've watched a few not new ones in the past month or two). We just finished it. It was a pretty good one not amazing but not at all bad. I'm a sucker for military ones. I liked the chemistry between the two. I was sorta used to Marc Blucas in military roles but I really liked Brandon Quinn.

The only thing my husband thought was "meh" is that they made Chloe a bit too chipper in his opinion and it was really just the military theme the he felt didn't match up with her doing tours.

I laughed out loud with the scene where they talk about Otter and how the name stuck. It was a cute ending.

Feeling the same way. The only new one we’ve watched on DVR is Jingle Bell Bride. All the other Hallmarks this year are piling up on the DVR. And I know we’ll get to them but there’s either an oldie but goody on regular Hallmark at the time, or we’re watching something on Netflix or Disney+.

Every year I tell myself "I'm gonna leave enough room on the DVR for October-December when Christmas movies start up again" and do I? No I do not :rotfl:

Eventually I'll need to reschedule some of the movies that I've either recorded or will be recording because I'll run out of space especially with fall tv shows starting again, it's just a good thing these channels often do multiple showtimes. I do have some 2019 Christmas movies on the DVR that I need to get to watching...

I tend to sit on the movies a bit letting the reviews and score for IMDb come out. It's really just to get a vibe of the movie overall but I'll still watch majority of the movies regardless.
