Give it up. We *understand* that they are robots. This is probably why the vast majority of adults aren't trembling in fear on Pirates! It's what they STAND for and represent and that is what this thread is discussing. Of course, if your President doesn't stand for anything and say, flip-flops on several issues, votes, etc, maybe they could be considered a robot. So, I guess your statement is in some aspects true enough!

Gee, I would have thought that everybody would have gotten the point that goofyrnmost was making but....guess not!

If you want to shout out, "Hi Mickey!" knowing full well that it's really a human dressed in a costume, that's all in fun. But booing and shouting out rude comments is just lame -- and doing it to robots is beyond stupid.

Thanks for my first laugh of the morning!!!! I think it must be the same kind of mentality as those people who actually spend money on magazines that predict what will happen on Soap Operas...okay folks...the people on those shows aren't real!!!! Yes, anything can happen and most likely will!!!

I always chuck it up to people who simply feel that they need more than their "1 vote". And, yes you are SOOO right...I doubt anyone's opinion has ever been changed by someone's comments in HOP. But, I look at it this way...these are probably the same construction workers who really believe a lady will take them up on the propositions they offer to her as she walks down the street!!!

(Other than my insanity I've never heard anything partisan at the HOP. It just seems like a waste of effort. It seems that everyone is pretty well dug into their sides at this time, so it isn't even worth the effort.)

It really is inappropriate to boo any of the Presidents in HOP in my opinion. This is an educational presentation which encompasses American history. So many people these days have no manners or class. I would hope that the adults would set a better examlple for their children. I am very polically active but in an appropriate setting.
