I thought I read a recent thread, that if you use your hb voucher at face value in a restaurant you can also use the shareholder or annual pass discount as well.

Is this correct or did I dream that thread:laughing:

Yes, in theory, you can :) .
The best way to do this would be to show your AP/shareholders card when you ask for your bill at the end of your meal. The bill will come to you with the AP/shareholders discount taken off. You then pay with your vouchers and remainder in cash.

Oh great that means if we go to cafe mickey we can get the 15% off the difference after half board plus.

Is there a limit, for example there is 8 of us, would I pay able to pay for the bill and get the 15% off, if for example I paid by visa to prove I was paying for it?

I asked about this in City Hall last weekend and was told No, so I would say that's the official line, but fingers crossed you get lucky with the CM at the restaurant. :confused3

i think it is the case if u get lucky - we had to argue in cafe mickey about this, but in annettes they just did it.

will be interesting in anyone is going very soon and tries it to report back?? we are off at easter, but havent decided on whether to get the hb vouchers yet!! if they are being more strict on vouchers OR discount, then i will certainly have to work out which is worth it!

We had extra drinks to pay for at Lucky Nugget, the waiter had already had our HB+ vouchers when we arrived, he bought the bill for the extra drinks after we had finished, I asked if I could use the shareholders card and it wasn't a problem, discount was taken off all the drinks not just mine. (we were a group of 6) As the bill had already been printed before he knew about my card he had to get someone else to re-do the bill, the supervisor I think, but even so they were fine about it:thumbsup2

Slightly OT but regarding the use of shareholders card for discounts in the shops - we used my shareholders card for discount on everything DIL purchased and had no probs. They saw me get the card out of my purse most of the time and on a couple of occasions DIL paid with her credit card in a different name and no-one queried it. To be honest in one shop I got my card out ready to hand over and the CM never even took it off me, he just said 'Oh right ok' and pressed the relevant discount button on the till, never even check it to make sure it was in date:confused3

I thought that they would enter the membership number off the card into the till to generate the discount but obviously not.

I will give this a go when we go in two weeks time and report back:thumbsup2
Has anyone who has been to disney recently done this with success:)

we were able to use our dream AP to get discount in California Grill in February. The AP discount was taken off the cost of the whole meal first then the vouchers
