Hakuna Matata - Fantastic in February

Rick: you were my Prince Charming on race day. I received your texts at just the right time and even read one to a fellow runner who was struggling beside me. She needed that reminder, just as I did, that we were at Disney and needed to enjoy every minute of it.

Regarding my injury: I'll be in PT for another 4 weeks. I saw the doctor this morning and I finally got out of him what my exact condition is. My back pain is caused by a pars defect, or Spondylolysis. During this visit he also told me that I developed a meniscus tear in my right knee (I was wondering what that clicking sound was when I walked up stairs at POFQ this weekend!) However, with rest for the knee and proper core strengthening for the back, the doctor said there is no reason that I can't continue to run and improve my time. :thumbsup2

::blushing:: It was my honor, Princess! That medal will always be a testimony to your inner strength and toughness! Qualities we reserve for all Disney heroes!

Knowing what you are dealing with medically must give you a sense of power over it now. It is always easier to deal with something you can point to and say "I will overcome that!" Core strength is so important cuz the body truly is all 'connected'. I have no doubt you will be running with us at the WDW Marathon weekend 2013!
