Hakuna Matata: Dash away, dash away, dash away All!

Hi team! Just popping in to say hello! I'm leaving work early today so I won't have to run in the cold and dark. Just the cold ...

Connie - I'm always neat and tidy! Actually my bag ALWAYS gets searched and I always get the pat down so nothing different for me except for the no carry-on (we're flying from Canada so we have different rules). I heard that the TSA may change it's mind on the new travel restrictions tonight. Fingers crossed!!

Scott/Denise - Stay warm!

Dave - You bad! But still a sweetheart! I was having doubts about my training and finishing time but will just concentrate on enjoying myself after reading your other thread. Have fun on your 8 miler!

Jennifer - Hope it works out with your packet pick up! I don't have a car so I'm not of much help.

Take care everyone!

Sweet li'l Vicky, I didn't mean to imply you weren't neat and tidy! :sad2: I was talking to myself! :wizard: I can rummage through things with the best of 'em!!!

I thought I had read that the restriction was lifted, but I wrong. Can you ship some of your stuff? You could send it to Dave, priority/overnight and he can bring it down. :rotfl:

Haha! Actually I forgot to put the rolling eye smiley in. I'm pretty messy  So you nailed it! The only things I'm worried about are my running shoes and clothes. Everything else I can replace :)

Hmm ... Shipping to Dave sounds interesting but what if he forgets his GPS and doesn't make it down? I'm just kidding!! :rotfl:

Hey Kids, got 30 min on the TM at 12% at 15Min pace, and 30 Min of Wii Fit Plus. The workewd out in the shop, Played with teh pups and cleaned up after them, .... finally time for lunch , I forgot breakfast this morn... Later Hey it's abouttime to start packing...

Okay, Vicky,

I will pack some extra stuff and we can tie you into mine. Or maybe suspender you into some of mine, or something! :rotfl: At least you won't have to worry about my clothing being to restrictive on your tiny self. :lmao:

Kim - I guess I will have some extra you can borrow too.

Speaking of GPS, Dave did ya get it figured out????

Vicky, Fox news just announced no carry on bags in Canada.. did not catch the whole thing.

Went on-line and printed my final instructions last night, I notice they "discourage" headphones :sad2: anyone have experience with having to remove your tunes? :scared1:

I used my iPod shuffle last year, and no one said a word to me. I got new earphones for Christmas, so I'm looking forward to using them for the half. I can't imagine running without my tunes!

Jack, That's sweet, but I think you may surprise yourself. No advice on the tunes, but I will say I always train with music and race without. I know that may seem tough, but at a race there is enough going on that you don't miss the music.

Connie, Vicky, and Margie The good news is that barring complete airline meltdown (which does happen we all know) I should be able to get to the expo. I figured out my flight would have to be delayed over 5 hours before I wouldn't be able to make it. If there is over a five hour delay, the packet is probably going to be a minor concern. (I don't handle delays well). I just tend to obsess over random things prior to a race and travel is often my main anxiety (I was worrried due to a local Christmas parade I wouldn't be able to make a 2 hour drive in 6 hours, notice a pattern). I'm planning to check in online (for both hotel and air), send boyfriend to the room, and catch the first bus to the expo. We should be at the expo by no later than 2 pm.

ETA: 7 miles in 56 minutes on a treadmill at a gym

No Dave hasn't figured out the GPS yet but a girl at work programed the Epcot into it so I can get there. We will figure out the thing when I get there.

I had a hard 8 miler today and that will be the last tough workout before the races. I'll do some easy 4s but that's all before race day.

Going to a New Years party tomorrow night so the next two days will be a waste for training. Maybe Saturday I can get back at it.

Vicky, I thought of Dave when I heard that story, Dave do it before you go OK.....

Happy Blue Moon Day....

I have the map to so no worries guys, the Panda is fleeing south at O Dark 30 on monday morning. Grrrrrrrrrr!

Like the Marines I will overcome, improvise and kick some booty, or um asphalt.

Just keeping my eyes on the prize, the hugs at the end of the road.

Good morning Hakuna Matata!

Wow, time flies when your scared to death! :scared1:

Margie - 6 sleeps!

Dave - Good job on the GPS. Now don't forget to find out how to get home!

Vicky - Wear your shoes. Those are the most important. If you think you might need to borrow some clothes, please put duct tape in your handbag. How big can your handbag be? ;)

Outta here. Stay safe and warm....it's snowing again!

More Snow! Very slippery out there.... Light work out this morning, got a late start and just wasn't feeling it.

No Parties Tonight! Our routine is Chinese Take-out (General Tso Chicken Mmm.) Put in a movie, I think we got Julie & Julia, and just hang out.
(Wait for the traditional phone call from work :sad2:)

But We do want to wish every one a

party:party::rockband:party:party:
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Please be careful tonite, don't want to lose anyone, we've come this far together......

Jack & Patty

Hi team! Just getting ready to head off to the gym for a quick New Year's eve work out. I thought about cancelling my appointment but figured if I ate a dessert tonight, I wouldn't have to feel too badly about it. I also did my 3 miler this morning in wet conditions but at least it wasn't icy like last weekend.

Connie - Thanks for the offer! I will wear one of my running outfits on the plane. I'm not sure about the duct tape - I've been overindulging in sweets and everything else these past two weeks

Jack - We're thinking of Chinese food and a movie too :)

Dave - Good luck on the road! See you in a few days!

Hope everyone has a great time tonight! :wave2:

Happy New Year!!! party:

I will be sleeping gently for the New Year! :cat: DH is working all night and has been for several days so......

Yes Happy New Year to One and All!!!!!!

Jack I can relate, I was flodded with calls and emails this morn. Oh well,

Dave I am glad you have a map, remember if you get to a place where the flags are red adn white with a Maple Leaf, you went the wrong Way LOL.... because real men don't ask for direction but the Aussie Gal on the GPS is OK....

Lynn should be home soon so we will get the pups for a walk, then off for a year end briefing with the Team, at a local establishment.

Jack, WHy did you mentions Chinese..... Sounds good....

Hi everyone,

9 miles in 1:17. 3 miles warm up, then 3 x 1600 at 5k pace (7:30) with 1 mile recovery (9:15) in between each.

Happy New Year, TEAM!

Family, Friends, Food, Movie - sounds good to me.

Stay Safe!

Took the kids out to eat before the crowds hit -
But I will be staying home, watching the movie UP, and calling Connie for the count down- :goodvibes
