For us, the over-the-door shoe holder was a life saver because we had a "standard" room for our last trip.
We quickly noticed the loss of storage space compared to the delux rooms like CRenze was talking about. The standard rooms loose the storage trunk (the one turned on its side with shelves inside) and the counter-top/shelf unit next to the closet. And I didn't realize it until CRenze post, but those four shelves in the bathroom are also not present in a standard room.
So for us, the shoe holder was very much appreciated. And it wasn't toiletries that we kept in the shoe holder. We kept the first aid kit, our glasses, the camera, under-water camera, combs and brushes, walets, medical supplies (an infant inhailer mask), extra batteries, and other misc. nick-naks you talk with you on these trips that we otherwise could have placed in the "missing" drawers.
