Hi Everyone..

I have a last minute question.. can you have your hair colored or highlighted on the ship??

Any idea on costs??

thanks for any help!!

Kelly

This is the price list from one of the cruises. I'm not sure if it's still accurate, but the prices should be pretty close:

$32 - $41 - Blow Dry
$47 - $63 - Ladies Wash, cut and style
$71 - $89 - Highlights
$26 - Men's wash, cut and style
$58 - $71 - Permanent Color (roots)
$44 - $53 - Semi-Permanent Color
$76 - $94 - Permanent Color (full head)

thanks for the information, when is the best time to make an appointment??? where do i go, we get to the port at 11:30 tomorrow.

You would go to the spa to make the appointment. :D

do I need to do that right away?? I want to sign up my ds for the kids club.. should I send my mom to make my apt right away??

I doubt that you'll have a problem if you go from the kids club to the spa, but if you're worried about it, your Mom can book it for you.

I will try to have my mom go.. I want to get it done as soon as possibe!! Thanks again

anyone have experience with actually doing this? Were you happy with the results? Did you find it lasted as long or longer than the service you use at home? Any idea what brand of haircolor is used?

The salon is pretty small right? like only 2-3 chairs? Or am I totally off?

Any idea what hours/days services are offered? Like is it everyday or not when in port etc??

I'm thinking it would be fun to get a formal style done for formal night but I assume there will be a fair amount of competition?

Hi all. Last February, I made a last minute appt for the salon. We were on the Western Caribbean and formal night was on Monday. Sunday afternoon, my sister and I walked into the spa and made arrangements for manicures, pedicures, highlights and cut/style/blow-out.

I have metally blocked the total price, so I won't go there. I remember thinking that it was about what a high end Manhattan salon would charge.

That said, the stylist was great. As a hair high-lights newbie, I was nervous, but I was thrilled.

The salon is small. The coloring lasts as long as at home, and they use Wella products. The girls there are great. They have a pretty good selection of times available. I made my appointment on Saturday evening for Sunday.
If you want a styling for formal night be sure to schedule it early in the cruise or you might have some difficulty getting in. Those times do tend to fill up.

I just got off the ship on Thursday. I did have highlights done on Monday Morning. It was 99.00 to get my hair highlighted no cut or blowdry..

But i loved the view as we were pulling into nassua I was sitting watching from the spa window!! WHAT A VIEW!!!!!

my only problem was my hair felt like staw after but I think that was from the ships water because once we got to orlando it fely much better!!!
