I thought it might be fun to see who has been married the longest, and how many years. This would be to ONE spouse, please. No combining several marraiges allowed.

I'll start. I was married at 21 and have been married for just over 34 years.

This October 30th I'll be married to the same wonderful husband for THREE years

In Feb it will be 9 years and I was married when I was 23

23, married 15 years. I think I wrote somewhere else that I was 22 when I married, but when I sat down and thought about it, I realized I had just turned 23 a month before.

We were married 01-01-01. I am 48 now.

First time was 04-04-74 and I was 19 going on 20. Lasted 12 years and 2 great sons.

I was 18 and we will celebrate 55 years on Christmas Eve.

55 years! That is specacular, Aunt Jo! What is your secret? And 34 years is pretty amazing too, Diane, especially this day in age when couples divorce so readily.

I love hearing about long marriages. I just know DH and I will be one of those couples one day, God willing.

March 5th will be our 20th aniversary. We got married 2 days before my 24th b'day.

Im currently 44, 1st married at age 23 in 1981, remarried in the late 80s. Yes, same man. We were divorced for a year sometime in the late 80s. So what does this count as? Insanity?

OMG! My mom pops in on the CB! Hi, Mom! Tell Dad hi!

My parents were a great example - DH and I will celebrate 28 years in December. DH's parents just celebrated 50 in June.

I wish I had a magic formula for a lasting marriage but each case is different. I think the defining moment for me came when my husband said to me, quietly but sincerely, "I believe I'm the only man in the world that would put up with you". I thought about it for a while and decided he just might be right.

Hi dear daughter. Yes, I pop in once in a while. I take as much pride in your marriage as in my own. Very few folks thought that marriage would last because you were both so young. But look who gets the last laugh.

1st time....Married at age 19 and I was married for 14 years and at age 27 gave birth to beautiful daughter.

2nd time....Married at 38 and I have been married for 4 months today!!!!
