Hacked at Ebay??

I received this email and thought maybe she had screwed up in sending it to me---So I went to my account but could find nothing---I just set up a sellers acct the other day but do not have anything listed--Is this something I need to worry about as far as my acct goes---I'd hate to have problems before I even get to sell anything!!


The listing ended in June.

It's a scam. Do not click on any links in the email! Do a search on ebay for the item number.

Either she got the wrong guy or she was trying to get you to click a link that would take you to a spoof page and induce you to type in your password there.

If you didn't click on the links and do that, and you instead typed www.ebay.com into your browser and logged in there and found nothing, then you are fine.

You can forward the email to spoof@ebay.com and they will investigate it for you and let you know pretty quickly if it was a spoof.

Yeah I never click on anything in an email--Not even the ones I get that say paypal is going to suspend my acct!

I just thought it was weird that I signed up for a sellers acct about 3 or 4 days ago and today I got this email

Wasn't sure if it was something to do with the new acct and I just couldn't find it!

It is a common scam. Just delete it or you can forward it to spoof@ebay.com.
