H&V lunch: OK for a vegan?

I'm hoping that someone has been to the new H&V character lunch and can tell me a little bit more about the lunch menu. I have ADRs for it (DD is a fan of Jo Jo and Lil Einsteins) but I am worried DH will find nothing to eat, as he is a vegan (no meat, no fish, no dairy, no eggs). He wouldn't be looking for anything exotic. As long as there are plenty of animal free salads and veggie dishes he'll be happy. We have had really good luck with Disney buffets for him in the past, but this one seems a little more meat and potatoes than the others. I know the non-buffet TS resteraunts will do special requests, but do the buffets? I did look at the menu on allearsnet and it wasn't very detailed, so I'm hoping someone can give me an "on the spot" report. Thanks!

I haven't been to the lunch but the dinner isn't really vegan friendly at all. I'd suggest something more 'made to order' for a vegan, as they can specifically tell the waiter/chef what they do and do not eat.

Check Deb's All-Ears. She has a few columns about vegan/veg dining. Best bet would be to call the restaurant and arrange for something. According to Deb's Dis chefs are pretty cool about making special items, as long as they have a few days to prep.

Just ask the chefs at the restaurant for anything or any diet restriction. They will be more than happy to help you. Lunch and breakfast are awesome and the characters and the Playhouse Pals are so fun!!! My kids loved dancing with Leo and June doing the Hot Dog song and "mixing the batter". JoJo and Goliath were a hoot too! Enjoy!

Buffet restaurants can make things "off the menu" like a regular TS restaurant.
