Gymboree boys shorts

For those who have already purchased the boys plaid drawstring shorts for spring, are they soft? (As compared to Carters, OshKosh, Childrens Place)
I am going to order online vs. feel the material at the store, but I hesitate in case they feel rough. DS is very particular about his shorts!

I found it really depends upon the line. Some are softer than others.

I agree with pp, it depends. Last summer I bought each of my boys an outfit from the same line that had 2 different plaid shorts. One pair was WAY softer than the other. Both were in the baby boy section.
