1. What kind of car did you drive in High School?
2. Was it cool for the time?
3. What kind of car do you drive now?

subcatagory:
Born BEFORE 1960
Born After 1960

I'll start this off!!

1. (Before 1960) 1963 Chevy Impala!!
2. Very very cool!!
3. 2007 Ford F150 supercrew.

1. After 1960, 1974 Mustang II
2. pretty cool although we lived in a GM factory town so GMs were much more popular
3. 2005 Mustang Convertible, Windveil Blue with tan roof

Born in '65 and found this car during JR year summer vacation:

'67 Pontiac Lemans, 2 barrel 326 CI, two speed tranny.... I go t it cheep because it had a cracked piston ring. That car sure had a unique sound, especialy when hitting about 50mph in first and frying the water pump bearing. Maybe I should not have used the cheapest $30 water pump.

I would hate to see what that car would pull in current dollars at the Barret Jackson Auto Auction....

I don't suppose that you still have the car?

Born in 1960
1973 Ford Maverick 2 door (Ford 302 V8 under the hood)
It was considered a reasonably cool car because it could get up and scoot
I now have a brand new Saturn Ion - traded in a Ford F150 Supercrew for it after I bought the motorhome

Nooooo. sold it so I could buy something that would tow a race trailer. Hi-performance go-karts. Man those were fun too....

I know what you mean. I sold mine when I went into the Navy (should have kept it)

BUT a few years later I bought my "dream" a 1972 Satallite Sebring Plus w/383CI engine!
(I put THOUSANDS of miles on it before I sold it when I went overseas!)
Cooolll!!!

After 1961
1970 Ford LTD2
2007 Volvo Cross Country

psst I'm not a guy ;)

1972 ford pinto wagon woody! 35 mph uphill pedal to the floor!

Born during 1960.

1. HS: Drove (when my folks let me) a 1968 Chevy Concours station wagon.
2. Absolutely, completely not cool.
3. Right now: 2002 Honda Odyssey and 2007 Honda Civic Sedan. For a married father of 2, both are very cool. :)

Before '60 and nothing. No money.

First was a '63 Bug and then a used '68 GT 350 Shelby.

Now a '87 Corolla FX16 GT-S, 151,000 miles, 7300rpm red line and it pulls great, gets 36mpg

Born before 1960. I had a 1967 Chevy Bel Aire. It was definitely NOT cool. Here is a picture of a 1966 - basically the same - except mine was white. Very uncool.

And yet if you had the 68 NOW and were driving it (restored) it would be COOL!!!
