Howdy folks

This is an incredibly short lived pre-trippie but for those of you familiar with my wife's pre-trippie then this is just my wee tuppence-worth before we depart for Florida.

Its been a helluva ride getting to this point, long story short we should have been in Florida in mid September but due to the collapse of our travel firm, XL, we lost that holiday 3 days before departure :scared1: . After waiting 2 years for our trip we were not to be defeated so after some hasty re-arranging we were soon re-booked for Late October :cool1:

Wifey manically re-booked almost every dining reservation we had in place, sadly Cinderella's Royal Table was not to be and we lost out on the MNSSHP much to my dismay..oh how I wanted to see the Headless Horseman and the gravediggers with sparking shovels!! The pics I have seen posted by the many happy revelers re-inforce how good it would have been.

Still onwards and upwards

This Friday I will finally get to go on the trip we have long prepared for. The highlights will start early as we dine at Wilderness Lodge on the evening of our first full day. Never been there in all our previous trips and the place looks spectacular. The day will be spent in MK, I know it 'll be busy but it will be good just to wander about as we relax into our holiday. The next day we are doing a wee bit of shopping before hitting Epcot and the first "Daddy" treat of the holiday. Its Biergarten time!!!!! Oh how I have waited for this, the bringing together of sausages and beer in one fantastic place. I have been planning to get a stein that I saw 2 years ago but left too late to purchase, but as Mickey is my witness I will be swigging from my humungous big eagle topped stein by the end of this trip :rotfl2:

That'll do for a first instalment, more late tonight no doubt

Quick Update

I am on holiday now :cool1: Obviously not in Disney yet but work is but a distant memory for me now. I have 1 day of relaxation at home before loading the car with kids, wife, bags and snacks for the car journey to Gatwick, just the 8 hours driving to get there :scared1: then a nice relaxing flight over the pond to my spiritual home :thumbsup2

Yeehah!!!!!

Its D-Day.

Amazing how being mere hours, yes hours!, away from departure can focus your mind. All those things you were thinking do I pack, dont I pack, is it carry-on is it not carry-on suddenly get resolved in one big sweep of the arms and in it goes higgledy piggledy into the case. Lets face it if its not passports and travel tickets then its no biggy, I am sure Disney will more than meet any emergency purchase needs!!!

I have read posts from folk saying "Its cold", "temperatures have dropped", trust me when you wake up and look out to see your car id frosted over and the puddles have frozen as they have here then Florida cold is actually a heatwave to us.

Till the next time :cool1:

Noticed that little link in your signature.

Have a great time!!!! :cool1:

Enjoy Biergarten and the cupcakes. :thumbsup2

Cheers Kathleen

Congrats on being my first visitor, and potentially last since my pre-trippie is almost into an actual trip report:thumbsup2

Now in the manic homestrait, dog off to mother-in-laws, kids pizza's on cooking and then mine to follow, after that the car will be loaded up and we will be off, off, off!

Woohoo
