Was actually glad Jeffrey wasn't in the finale...they would have to have shown another cheesy moment.

I think it was the best possible ending for "my" show...Reva and Bud driving off into the sunset (loved the background song also, musical household so I notice those things) as we saw everybody happy and moving forward. My biggest pet peeve was Henry and Colin were the tallest toddlers I've ever seen...Colin looked to be 3 not 18 months old.

Didn't cry as much as I thought I would...I think it was because it was such a joyful ending.

I just You Tube-ed the whole episode & thought it was done very well. I sure will miss this show, the characters have been in my life for 35 years, like many of you out there as well. I used to idolize Philip, Beth, Mindy & Rick when they were teens. Lujack - ahhhh Lujack...Sonny/Solita, Alan Michael, India, Roger Thorpe, Ed & Maureen, Blake & Ross...all of them! There are TONS of old GL clips from the 80's on You Tube - I could watch them all night!

It's hard to believe the show is really over. I stopped watching both it and ATWT the last year, just due to mostly really stupid writing, but I did tune into GL this week.

FWIW, I thought Blake and Frank should have become a couple AGES ago. I can specifically remember Blake and Frank getting totally drunk one night when the Coopers owned the diner and they woke up together in a booth. I can't remember if they had 'done it', but they had a good chemistry together. Then again, I've always been a Blake fan.

Me too!! I was so happy to see them get together. Wished they had done it before the last episode. Would have loved to have seen the relationship unfold.

I adored today's show. I cried sooooo many times! Loved that Natalia named the baby after Frank! Awww! Loved that Rafe came home! Loved that Alex left with Fletcher! Loved that Shane and Marina end up together, although their kiss seemed awkward. Didn't really care about Mallett and Dina! And of course that they put my Joshua back with Reva!!!! That's where they belong! I didn't mind, either that Jeffrey wasn't there today. He said yesterday that he wouldn't stop chasing Edmund until he was dead so it didn't surprise me that he wasn't there. Thought it was cute that Rick and Mndy were together. Loved that they "showed" Lizzie's belly (not that they did a good job hiding it!)!!

I am so going to miss this show. I grew up with Guiding Light. I'm a 3rd generation GL-er!

I loved Reva and "Bud" driving off into the sunset, even if it was with the gigantic baby! Loved Alex leaving with Fletcher, Lizzie being pregnant, Jonathan being part of the family, Frank and Blake, James and Daisy, etc. I didn't love the way they left us hanging with the Jeffrey/Edmund story. I wish they had just had them kill each other a month ago. I adored Dinah and Mallet together! I protected it on my dvr, and I'm sure I'll be watching again.

And I did like Rick and Mindy. She is kind of goofy like him, and they had a year to get together romantically before the wedding.

I still can't believe it is over.

So what happened to Sara? Why did they say they had to protect her? Also, did Beth and Alan have a child together?? When were they married? Like I said, I did not watch for years up until a couple weeks ago so I don't know all the storylines. I could not follow the family tree on that one site. Is there another site that I could read about the show?

They were protecting Sara from Alan. He had threatened to take her, around the same time he had Tammy killed (he sent a hitman-Cyrus's brother-after Jonathan, but Tammy was the one killed). So Jonathan ran off with her.

Alan and Beth were married several years back, and had Peyton. Rick and Beth were having an affair, and Rick claimed Peyton was his, but later Beth and Alan found out the truth, and Beth went back to Alan. She ended up leaving him for Coop.

GL's Jeffrey: Missing In Action
GL's final episode aired today and everyone in Springfield was granted a final "one-year later" scene — except for Jeffrey, who was last seen having a shoot-out with Edmund. As Josh and Reva drove off together to presumably start a new life together, Jeffrey's whereabouts were never addressed. So, where is he? GL rep explains that his absence was intentional, and the story was purposely left open-ended. "When Reva tells Josh she's not ready, that's all about Jeffrey and her trying to move on," says the rep. Reva believes Jeffrey is dead and, a year later, he very well could be. Guess it's up to the viewers to decide!

I, too, thought it was a nice way to end everything. I got misty a few times, but didn't actually cry. It's almost like they intended to wring us out during the day to leave us happy at the end.

Reva and Josh HAD to end up together. There was just no other way. They were meant to be together always.

I'll miss the show, but I think they left it open-ended enough that it could come back someday if a studio wanted to pick it up.

For the most part, I was really happy with the ending(still hard to swallow that it's REALLY the end) It did seem that everyone was right where they belonged and FINALLY so happy. I've been a JEVA fan since childhood so I was thrilled, but I did find Reva and Jeffrey to be a great couple as well and I wish that had truly been resolved.

I think the only thing that bothered me was the complete absence of Alan-Michael. I cannot believe that they brought all of these older characters back(and all of them should have been utilized, not just backdrops on the screen!!!) and not once is AM mentioned at all! HELLOOOO!!! He is a Spaulding. Shouldn't he have at least warranted a phone call about his father dying?! I just find it unbelievable that he was not mentioned or alluded to in the least...and I wasn't even a big fan of AM.

It was fun! There was a long q&a session, an autograph session that they kind of botched up with how they handled it, and a reenactment of favorite scenes with members from the audience - that was hilarious! Lots of fans there - that was neat!

The informal and non-scientific show-of-hands poll taken at the event showed that nobody is watching whatever they put on in GLs place and everybody has an extra hour of time in their day now.

I wish that would have been closer to home! I would have loved to be there. I still miss that show! It came on when I was getting home from work.

Jordan Clarke suffers a mild stroke

According to the president of his official web site, Guiding Light star Jordan Clarke has suffered a mild stroke.


Emmy winner Jordan Clarke (ex-Billy Lewis) is recovering from a mild stroke, according to a message on the actor's official web site.


"Jordan was working on Venice the web series when he had a mild stroke between LA and NYC," the statement read. "His prognosis is good and he's expected to fully recover."


A stroke occurs when a blood vessel in the brain becomes blocked or bursts. The resulting blockage prevents blood and oxygen from being provided to that part of the brain, where the tissue subsequently begins to die. The part of the body controlled by the damaged area of the brain can't work properly.


The 59-year-old Clarke first aired on Guiding Light in 1974, but not in the role for which most fans will recognize him.


"I had my first job on Guiding Light in 1974 playing an OB-GYN named Tim Ryan for two years," Clarke told soapcentral.com. "I came back as Billy Lewis in '83, and I've been Billy for almost 22 years, so that's very nice, very nice."


In 2006, the actor earned his first Daytime Emmy nomination -- and win -- for Outstanding Supporting Actor.
