I met Rick Bauer last Sunday! I ran into him at a hotel in NH. I was there for my cousin's wedding. He was bringing his daughter to a summer camp. He said they filmed their last episolde on Tuesday (8/11) and he was very sad about it. He said that they were really all in hopes that another network would pick them up. My mother asked if Philip dies and after I said "he can't tell you that!" , he told us that he doesn't. He was so incredibly nice and talked to us for about 15 minutes. He was very funny...very much like his character. I told him that we have watched forever and that he was one of my favorites and I thought they didn't do enough with him. He was very appreciative. He also said that 60 Minutes was doing a tribute to the show and to watch out for it. He wasn't sure when it would air...I'm guessing closer to the end of the show.

Olivia refuses Nat's request - explains it would be to difficult to be around her.

Wanting to help Natalia, Olivia asks Alan to find her a job.

Alan tells Natalia that he's looking for an assistant.

But will Natalia work with Alan, given their history?

Natalia thanks Olivia suggesting her name to Alan.

Natalia and Frank decide to focus on their unborn child.

The baby is due in late November.

Olivia fights her feelings determined not to be hurt again.

Alan finds James texting Daisy and erupts!

Just like with Phillip, Alan wants young James to focus on Spaulding.

James tells Alan he was to be a part of things, but won't give up being himself in the process.

A meddling Alan makes an Daisy an offer!

Alan tells Daisy that if she agrees to stay away from James, he'll give the Cooper clan the money he needs.

Phillip decides to tell the family about his illness.

Phillip asks James to hang out, but he refuses again.

Dejected, Phillip asks Rick to hang out and shoot some hoops.

Olivia and Emma end up joining Phillip and Rick for a game.

Ed tells Lillian that he has found a possible cure for Phillip.

Ed explains to her that he might survive with a major bone marrow transplant.

But this transplant would leave the donor at too high a risk to die themselves.

Marina and Mallet take baby Henry for a checkup.

Mallet informs the doctor that they now know who his biological father.

The doctor is interested in getting Shayne's medical records.

Marina introduces Shayne to the doctor, which makes Mallet step back and analyze his place in his family.

Mallet sees Marina with Henry and Shayne - thinking they look like a family.

Mallet tells Marina what he's feeling about his place in the family.

He gives her some options on how they can make it work - which leaves Marina running out the door.

Marina tries to makes Mallet see she thinks they can save their marriage.

Mallet thinks he needs to sacrifice his happiness to give him a happy life.

Mallet shares an emotional goodbye with Marina and Henry.

Mallet makes arrangements to take a new job overseas.

Mallet tells Shayne to take good care of Henry.

Marina breaks down as Mallet walks out of her life.

Cyrus learns of a hidden treasure Jenna knew of in Australia.

Cyrus removes the page from Jenna's journal and leaves hastily.

Cyrus tells Buzz that he has to leave the country.

Cyrus takes Remy to Australia in search of Jenna's treasure.

Natalia sets up a date with Olivia.

Holly returns to Springfield.

Jonathan tries to talk some sense into Reva.

Billy proposes to Vanessa.

Natalia is stunned by Rafe's annoucement.

Blake is stunned to find Holly has returned to Springfield for a visit!

An emotional Blake goes to visit Ross's grave.

Blake tells Ross's headstone that they were to find true love.

Jonathan and Jeffery are anxious to get rid of Edmund once and for all.

Shayne has a frank discussion with Reva about all of her children.

Jeffery calls and asks Jonathan to leave Springfield.

Billy and Vanessa discuss family with Bill and Lizzie over a double date.

Lizzie suggests to Bill they go home and make start their family.

Billy tells Josh that he plans to woo Vanessa for a whole year and propose.

Lizzie suggests to Bill they go home and make a baby.

At the end of their date, Vanessa tries to put the moves on Billy - how will he react?

Josh and Olivia team up to get the couple back together more quickly.

Holly comes to town to visit Blake. Holly and Ed catch up and he notes that she sounds very free. Holly agrees to have a cup of coffee with Ed. Blake talks to Ross's gravestone and explains to it that she's been thinking about the love they shared and how lucky they were.
Olivia gets a note asking her to come to the roof. Natalia has set up breakfast on the roof for Olivia. Both Frank and Natalia push aside their sorrows to concentrate on the baby. Natalia's due date is Nov. 28th. Olivia tries to concentrate on work, but decides to go for a walk instead. Olivia goes back to the roof where Natalia had set up breakfast and looks around.
Shayne has a dream where Lara comes to him and advises him that he should be with Henry. Shayne realizes that this is true. Mallet calls the agency, letting them know he's leaving the SPD and needs a change of scenery. Shayne is shocked to hear that Mallet moved out of Marina's. Mallet asks Shayne to be a father to Henry. Marina confides to Lillian that Shayne is Henry's biological father. Lillian thinks Marina and Mallet are the bravest people she knows. Mallet heads inside the Cooper house and finds the suitcase and boxes Marina packed for him accompanied with a note that says take care of yourself. Mallet learns that the agency has a job for him in Germany. Mallet says his goodbye to Henry. Marina cries in the comfort of Daisy's arms while Mallet turns in his badge and walks away from Springfield.

She talks about some of the returns and how they worked very hard to come up for the right connection for Fletcher, "it will be lovely." Holly will have a day there where the focus is on her and it'll be about the anguish of love - reflecting on Roger/Holly. She does note that there won't be flashbacks, I believe, she says they didn't have the time to do some of the things they wanted to. "It's not a scratch-your-head-mystery ending." She talks about wanting to give the audience a satisfying ending, acknowledge the past, fans will have a good idea where all the characters next step in "life" will be. Phillip: JLH notes that his greatest love story (as well as agony) is with his father. Phil will want to resolve that. Reva - Jeffrey or Josh? She doesn't answer that but does say the audience will see the future for all three, it'll be clear.

Tomorrow:

Remy & Cyrus go looking for the treasure, they run into Buzz.
Everyone finds out that Cyrus is Jenna's son.

Shayne's getting his life together, he gets a job at lewis from his dad.
He tells Marina he wants to be part of Henry's life, they decide to make that happen, Shayne is getting a lawyer to draw up paperwork for joint custody. The vow to give Henry a happy life.

Frank instant messaging possible date with online dating, Blake doing the same thing, they don't know it's eachother.

Reva with Lizzie, then Jonathan leaving, asking Shayne to let Reva know he had to go and be with his daughter.

We've been watching this week. I haven't really watched since Tammy died and Jonathan left -- and Reva and Jeffery were just starting to flirt. My husband commented that "This is like watching Telemundo".

Why oh why did they let the sets and everything get so awful? I still love the chemistry between the veteran actors though!

They panned the room and James had an expression like "hey, I can do that". I thought initially that he was going to wreck his car with that intention...looks like it's something less tragic. Lizzie tells Alan that he's a brave man and a hero for helping her father.

Are any of the actors moving to other soaps? GL is the only one I watch, so I may have to convert to ATWT or something.
