guided fishing excursions

Could anyone send me updated information on the guided fishing excursions if they are still offered? Things such as location, price, dates available, times, how many people allowed, are they normally fun? Thinking of doing this when we come down in October- we have a couple avid fishermen in our group Thanks!

Ah the fishing... Loved it. My trip was an one on one. If you have a group, chances are it will be on the pontoon boats. The bass boats are usually solo trips. However, the guides are really laid back and fun.(Not surprising perse`) They are also some of the rarest employees on the property too. Many employees have no idea they offer fishing tours. My guide worked on the Monorail for about 6 months before a spot opened up. Turned out the guy was from South Jersey so we BSed about all things New Jersey. He also showed me some different bass fishing tricks as well. It was really great time. Good luck.

Forgot to mention that in years past there used to be a coupon for 10% off the guided fishing excursions in the back of the Birnbaum book Guide to WDW. I know that because I "liberated" one such coupon from my local library's copy of Birnbaum for somebody else. There were restrictions IIRC about time of day or day of the week but you might investigate that possibility.

And Bama Ed- now you also reminded me- when we get our little packet of stuff from Disney a month or so before we go- isn't there a coupon in that packet as well? Seems like they had quite a few coupons in there- and I think one of them WAS for that..... I must investigate!
