How patient are you to wait for a return call? We want to get started and our guide put February 4 as a cut-off on our incentive sheet. I called on Thursday when we were in the MK and he told me not to worry about using our last day of vacation doing paperwork, but that he would talk to me on Monday. I left two messages yesterday telling him we were going to join and I am still waiting for a phone call. He had told me the incentive could go a few days past the 4th, but I don't want to lose it. What do I need to do? I called today and got voice mail also. Am I being impatient?

Does the voice mail message say that the guide is out for a couple of days? My guide usually leaves that on his voice mail.

Sometimes guides don't change their voicemail to reflect their days off...

True. Mine does. I don't think that i have ever heard the same message anytime I have called him!

I would hope that in your situation, he would definitely honour the incentive.

I usually give my guide a couple of days before I call him back. Usually, he would call back the next day. But there may be busy time for them.

I have had two guides and they are very different. The first one did not say that he was out of the office while the other one changes his voicemail all the time.

If you feel very uncomfortable about it, maybe you can explain your situation to another guide. However, I do feel that your guide will have no problem providing you with the incentive if he said he would and he hasn't gotten in touch with you yet. I am surprised that he hasn't called before you called him to let you know that the incentive is up soon. But you never know the situation. Either way, I would think you are fine.

I would think that if you left the message that you wanted to accept the deal, his voice mail message should be enough to hold the deal for you.

When I called DVC for the first time this weekend the rep. was very specific about NJ and my number being on the "no call" list. She said I'd have to go to DVCyes.com to change the status for them to be able to call me.

I don't know if that applies here or which states have this rule but I thought I would mention it just in case. :confused3

I think it means they can't cold call you.

I'm really trying not to be impatient. I have left a message Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Do I just sit and wait or try to call the main DVC number? I don't want to lose the incentive because we are thinking of getting 225 points instead of 160. If the incentive expires on February 18 does that mean as long as you tell them you want to go ahead by February 18 or when all of your paperwork is received back by them?

I think you have to let them know by then. I would try calling the main number if you don't hear back today. Usually they aren't off more than 2 days in a row, and perhaps he is on vacation.

You are dropping over 20K, call the 800 #. I am not patient when I want something.

I did call the main number yesterday, they said he has been at work since Sunday and they also left him a message. I know they are busy, but I want to get this going. But I don't want to go behind his back or anything like that. They also said he is off tomorrow and Friday, so if I can't get ahold of him today, I now have to wait until Monday!!! Talk about no pressure!!!:rotfl:

I'd just call the main number and tell them what's going on, what your fears are (i.e. not getting the incentive) and they should be able to help. Maybe even ask for a different guide.

I didn't think you could have a different guide. And why do I feel guilty about asking for another guide? He was really nice, just I like things done ASAP. I should have just joined at our open house. I just wish he would CALL back!!!! I was hoping to have the paperwork sent back by now.
