Guests same on two rooms

We are visiting disney in the fall and have rented two DVC room reservations for our large party. Group 1 arrives on day 1 and is in a 2 br villa, group 2 was planning to arrive on day 3 and has a studio. Now Group 2 wants to arrive on day 1, so I want to add them to my room reservation (we have capacity) for the first two nights, but was told they could only be added for the entire duration. I dont mind, however they would be listed on two different room reservation for days 3-6 when they move into their own studio. Is this okay? Will this cause issues?

My suggestion would be to go to the front desk in the morning of day 3 and have them removed from the 2 BR. Just to remove any possible conflict. Though I've read reports of guests being on 2 reservations at the same time, I wouldn't want to take a chance.

I had a stay once at Boardwalk where my friend was going to join me. She got there before me and stayed somewhere else with her husband. They decided to stay another night, so she modified her reservation. So now she had 1 night overlapping where she was on her original room and I had her on the Boardwalk room. It messed up her magic band entry to the room. I had to go to the front desk and they worked it out, they gave her a card to use for the overlapping night and then when she joined me we had to go back to the front desk to get her magic band to work.
