Guests being moved to DVC resorts in 2021 already (WL closed for all of 2021)

Totally confused here. Is WL not open to book in 2021 for CASH guests? I have a fixed week at CCV (DVC) so I better have that reservation in 2021. This thread is very confusing.

Cash guests cannot book WIlderness Lodge Rooms as Disney has not opened that hotel,

CCV is different because it is DVC, even though it is inside of the hotel.

Hmm, sorta related. We are booked at CCV for a week in late November. I wonder if the holiday decorations will be reduced with only the DVC wings open?

220 CCV Rooms
136 BLR Rooms
430 WL Rooms

With about half the resort open I would suspect most if not all decorations are still up. I can't imagine its "that expensive" and its likely the MFs based on being shutdown for so long could cover the shortage.

They don't really make all new decorations do they? If so possibly they just reuse things more from years past?

I realize I'm breathing life back into an old post. I cannot find an answer elsewhere.
I booked 11 months out at my home resort of BRV Nov.24-Dec 5. I was pretty proud of myself until someone mentioned the possibility of being moved due to the refurbishment happening sometime this year.
What happens? Am I contacted if I need to move? Do I get to choose another resort. Do I have to use the difference in my points?
I'm unfamiliar with the process.

It has never happened to me, but they would not take extra points from you if that were to happen. I would imagine they would try to move guests to Copper Creek, if available, and you would get a say in the matter. They wouldn’t just move you to somewhere like OKW, and say “ too bad”

Actually they can move you anywhere. You don’t always gets a choice. They just won’t charge you more points.

Wouldn’t that be a violation of the contract? She wouldn’t get a choice whether to accept or reject ? And have them put the points back without penalty.?

Disneytrippin. Just cal, member services and ask.I honestly can’t see them putting you in pop century or something. But you should ask them so you don’t worry.

No. The contract says you get a room. Unit type and location is not guaranteed.

First, it’s a long way to the end of November, so no point in worrying right now about something that’s not likely to happen. Plus w/ scheduled refurbishments DVC usually just doesn’t release the villas to be booked. Occasionally the refurb takes longer than planned, but usually not. For example, this December VGF was refurbishing the villas floor by floor & no one had to move because they just held back X number of villas from booking. Thus it’s 99% probable that you’ll get what you booked. Just keep an eye on the threads devoted to BRV & if reports of people being contacted to move for your dates surface then contact MS.
In the past w/ involuntary moves w/ various DVC resorts there’s been a lot of different outcomes, some folks ended up with what they considered upgrades, others where less happy, none were charged more points.

I would also say that for late November/early December, the odds on a BRV rez being moved to CCV are stink, stank, stunk, as the Grinch might say.

I think there's almost no concern of that happening.
