This July, my ds8, dd5, and I are staying at BCV. My mom and sister are offsite at a convention. When we are all togother at BCV, will they be able to use SAB? I've read something about wrist bands? Do I just put them down as guests? I can't put them on the rez because I am in a studio. What is the policy? Thanks

You'll have to ask at the front desk the day you plan on inviting guests to SAB. The CM's usually require a room key for everyone getting a wrist band, and since you can't add them to your room, they won't have a room key. You might be told it's o.k. to have guests, you might be told that the resorts are at or close to capacity and guests are not allowed. It will be a decision that will have to wait until the day you intend on doing it.

How do you get wrist bands? Are they given out at the pool if you show your room key?

You have to show your room key to gain access to SAB. The pool area is completely fenced in with various access points manned by CM's who check for room keys or wrist bands as you enter. Once you approach one of these areas the CM will look for a wrist band, if you've already been in before. If they don't see the color of the day, they will ask to see a room key for every member of your party. They will then issue the wrist bands. If a CM sees someone within SAB without a wristband, they will ask to see a valid BC/YC/BCV room key. If this person can't produce one, they will be asked to leave. Since you'll be going in July, SAB gets crowded very quickly, and the past two July's we've stayed there (at YC and BCV) we've always been asked to show a room key for EVERY member of our party, even my 5YO DD.

When you get to the SAB pool they have CM's at the enterances who will ask to see your BCV's (or YC or BC) I.D.'s. Once they verify that you are a guest of the BCV's they will put a wrist band on you and let you into the SAB pool area;)

If you only have 3 in the studio, you could get 1 more key, they may even give you 2 if you ask when checking in.

It does seem a little odd that BCV guests can pool hop to BWV and others. But, not vice versa. I guess the trick is to book a stay at BCV.... ;)

In my experience, staying at the hotel many times... they are quite liberal about letting you bring guest if you ask in advance. I have never been denied... but we have only asked a couple of times. It is also not hard to get extra room keys if you want to go that route. I routinely get an extra key wherever I travel (inc Disney)... to keep in my wallet so that I have one on me for those times I forget my key in the room by mistake.

You can get 4 ID's for your room. Depending on who is actually going to swim that might be enough.

You can also ask as someone posted, but do know that July is peak pool time at SAB and you might be told no due to capacity.

I don't usually get a key for my kids since they are to young to carry it and I won't let them go to the room alone. Plus I hate to carry all the extra keys with me also.

Last time we were at BCV I was the only one who showed my key and we all got our bands. Then again it was slow season so don't know if that mattered.
