Hello, this is my first Disney cruise, this October!

In Grand Cayman, my bookings says Guest ashore at 1030am, and the DCL port adventure I booked says

Dolphin Swim and Stingray City (G48)

10:15am-3:15pm.

How does that works - if we don't get off the ship until 1030, am I still good for that port adventure?

Thanks,

kris

They will tell you where you go to meet the group that is going to this excursion. It will be somewhere on the ship. Then you leave as a group to your excursion.

When you get to your meeting place (they will tell you where and when) they will ask to see your room card (KTTW card), your photo ID if you over 18, and they will give you a character sticker to wear that is associated with your excursion. When they make sure everyone is there and has all those things they will ask you to sit until your excursion is called. When called you will follow cast members who will be holding a paddle that matches your sticker (so you know who to follow). Many excursion groups could meet in the same lounge. They will walk you down the stairs and off the ship to meet the vendor of the excursion. They will provide towels at the meeting place onboard if your excursion is a water excursion.

10:15 is the time when you need to be at the meeting point inside the ship, usually in the theater. They want everyone to be ready to leave the ship when the authorities clear it, which is scheduled to be at 10:30.

Grand Cayman is a tender port so you will meet your group for your excursion in a lounge then all get on the same tender to go ashore. Once ashore, be sure you meet up with the same group (same sticker) for your excursion.

In the past DCL has taken off some groups booking these port adventures BEFORE opening up all ashore times for everyone else.

It would not surprise me if you are one of the first folks off the ship given your arrival times etc.

Trust that DCL knows what they are doing and won’t leave you high and dry if you book through them.
