My family of 9 will be staying at BCV and I have a cousin who is a FLA resident who would like to visit with us for a day.

Will he and his kids be denied access to SAB or can I get him passes?

Do I have to pay for a visitor to SAB?

Thanks.

All guests of SAB must be registered guests of the YC/BC/BCV. They will ask for a room key for EVERYONE (except infants), and give everyone a wristband.

So no, they can't swim with you at SAB, and guest passes can't be purchased.

You could all go to a waterpark, or they could simply get a room for a day at the BC.

I know they check ID's for everyone at that particular pool because it gets so crowded. Ask at the front desk...maybe if it's not a very busy time of year they will let you do it. :D

Disneypro,
Beware!!!! This is a very touchy subject on these boards. Do you have your battle gear on? ;) Some will go to the extreme and post all the rules about pool hopping.
I would just ask the CM when you check in. It can't hurt. The worst they could say is "no." Good Luck.

We asked to visit friends of ours who were staying there during a convention and they said no problem. It probably depends on how crowded the pool is. It can't hurt to ask at the front desk. We are staying at the BC this summer ourselves because we enjoyed it so much.

I have inquired about this same issue recently on these boads and at the YC. There is no consistency so good luck. I got different answers from different CMs and from the replies I got from DISers it varies considerably how stringently they check ID on any given day.
Therefore I would recommend asking at the desk on that particular day. If the answer is no to SAB,I am told by multiple CM's that the quiet pool is allowed(which is considerable cheaper than going to a water park if what you're most interested in is visiting). Good luck!

I know what can happen on these boards.

I don't want a battle just asking what the policy was.

Thanks.

It's a common practice for the resorts to allow "day" visitors of a resort guest to have access to the pools at that resort. Simply ask guest services at your resort. As I understand it, they issue some type of pass for the visiting guest. It really shouldn't be a problem.

If you want the official policy of the resort, then I would call that resort and find out. They would be able to tell you for sure, what you can or cannot do. Have a good trip.:D

Unfortunately, when calling the resorts you will get different answers from different CMs rather than a consistent quote of teh official policy. That is what happened when I called the YC directly. One CM told me I could not bring a guest to the QUIET pool, while another said that would not be a problem. I was confused so I called a third time and was told if my brother came to visit me we could go to SAB together.
I think it will depend on who you talk to when you are there on site.

I also don't think that the guest services/front desk CM's always know what the policy is. The life guards in conjunction with resort management are the ones who determine the policy, and enforce it.

Even if a front desk clerk says "Yes", when you get to SAB the life guards can turn you away.

If you have room on your res. for another adult without paying I would simply put your cousin's name on the reservation. That way they can come and go as they please. If this is not an option I am not sure what to tell you. Good Luck and have fun.

Also I think that I read somewhere that Fl. residents get into EPCOT after 4 pm for free. You may want to call and see about this if the pool does not work out.

when you get there ask MANAGEMENT, and then let them get with the lifegaurd on duty.

And if the life guard tells the management that the pool is too full, then the pool is too full. It's not just pool chairs here folks, it's the ability of the lifeguards to watch their water without it being too full for safety. Any manager who over rides a life guards decision should be fired on the spot.

i think instead of DEBATING this to DEATH,just ask when you arrive and that will be the end of it.REMEMBER, it is not our choice to make:rolleyes:

Sorry I was the one that posted after 4 pm. This is what i just got off Deb Willis' site
Epcot After 4 Pass - Florida Resident only - Unlimited admission to Epcot after 4pm. Florida Drivers license required as proof of residency.
It does not say what the price is. Again sorry for any false info.

I see the "Pool Rules" coming! Go ahead and post the "Refillable Mug Rules" also I may have forgotten that debate.
