We are going for a weekend trip ( we are already in FL at a beach) and we left our disney rewards visa at home. I called chase they said we can get a new card at guest relations and then call them back and they will transfer our dollars. She said guest relations are at the parks and DTD. We are only going to MK. Should we get it at DTD or MK. Which would have the quickest line. I am not sure where to go at MK for it. Any help would be great! Thanks

Guest services is located outside MK on the right, near the restrooms. On the inside at Town Hall. If you are not planning on visiting DtD, I would skip it. Parking is pretty much a nightmare there with the construction.

I have used guest services both at MK and DtD. Both have been slow, both quick, just depends on the time and crowds. I would suggest inside MK.

Can I get to guest relations outside of the MK without having a ticket to get in to the park?

Yes.

My own experience suggests GR at DTD is faster, but DTD is a pain to get to these days.

Thanks so much!

Looks like Marketplace opens at 8:30, but Westside opens at 9.

Great information! I need to upgrade DH's 7 day ticket to AP...long story...but I do not want to do it at AK, which is our first park that day. So, I was thinking about driving to DTD to go to guest relations right when it opens, but, due to the parking situation, I'm thinking taking a bus from the hotel to DTD might be a quicker alternative.

Is DH's 7 day ticket old, or is it a third-party ticket purchase like UCT? Where you upgrade (inside or outside the theme park) can make a difference in how much you'll owe for the AP upgrade.

This was a few years ago but I had a problem with my Visa Rewards card and Guest Relations at the park could not help me. I had to go to DTD. I can't remember what the problem was, though.

Just to clarify...you're talking about the rewards card for your Visa, not the actual credit card, right? I don't think you can pick up a credit card at Guest Relations.

I'll try to give the long story short...

We were at WDW in April. I waited until the last day we were there (rookie mistake, I know!), at AK, to upgrade DH's 7 day ticket, purchased at WDW, as part of a package. When the guest relations girl scanned the band, she said his ticket had only cost $230, including taxes! I told her there was no way a 7 day ticket cost $230, LOL! She would not budge, so...I returned home without AP in hand and called Ticket Services. They added a memo on file for him to receive his AP, upon arrival, in August, price-brigded, yada yada yada... Disney IT called it "Magic Mail"...basically, an oops memo...

So, we have to get that disaster straightened out...:scared1:

Sounds like everything you needed to be concerned about has already been addressed. I don't blame you for wanting to avoid AK Guest Relations, but the poor work of that one CM could have happened at any WDW GR office. Some CMs are just out of their league. I have good experiences with the DTD GR staff, so good luck to you!

Make sure to have that file number with you, it will speed things up if they do not have to do search for him.

The parking situation at DTD is a breeze (even now with construction) at 8:30 in the morning. Taking a bus would take far more time out of your day.

Yes it was for a rewards card. I got it this AM at MK. We tried DTD last night and parking construction was nuts. I did have to wait at MK I line but it is taken care of.

Thanks all!

Thanks! I learned a valuable lesson...don't wait until the last day, LOL! :)

Glad you were able to get everything resolved! :)

I have the confirmation number in my wallet, so that I do not lose it! I check about every day to make sure it's still there! :upsidedow
