Guest of Honor name badge--How come I was the ONLY one wearing one this trip?

I did not see ANY other GOH badges, and every time I wear mine, people ask me questions, like I WORK there! They also think that because I have been to WDW many times, that is HOW I got the badge. No, I do not tell them otherwise. And yes, I answer the questions-where is the bathroom, where is the exit, and yes I give them the map I am carrying, and get myself 2-3 more in case anyone else needs one.

I wear mine whenever I go to the park. It is amazing how many times I get asked questions.

I had a rude woman ask me, "what makes you so special?" She was actually jealous! I told her I wasn't allowed to discuss it.

All three of my kids wear there GOH badges every day, in every park. This year I ordered them some new ones in addition to the Mickey and Princess ones they already have. I think they do make the kids feel "special" when the CMs call them by name.

I wear mine everytime I go to Disney. I am also stoped and asked questions by other guest, which most of the time and can answer and am happy to so so. But my favorite is when a real CM calls me by my name, it makes my day and helps me enjoy Disney even more....my DH won't wear his????

By the other CM's but I am bugged out by how many people do NOT know they can buy one of these! I never tell them either, let them figure it out themselves. I went thru the fast pass line, and someone in the line next to me said: 'She works here, thats why she gets special treatment.'

I wear my GOH badge on my annual December trips.
Many times I have been asked questions, guests think I am a CM.
I always answer the questions, I tell them I'm NOT a CM
This comes in handy because I am a solo vacationer
and it gets me talking more to other people.

DD loved wearing her GOH badges.The CM's gave her so much attention. She had the new gold one (50th celebration) and it was funny how excited the CM's were to see the new badges (we where there on 4/24) It was awesome. She kept getting offered the front seat on rides. And everytime we went through the turnstiles a CM would say "Have a great day, Jennie" or something like that. It really was great.

We always wear our GOH Badges and I have never been asked about them. My kids get lots of attention form them.

I also wear my GOH every day of my stay. Every morning my DW will say to me "Do I have to wear this today?". Last time she asked I told her if she asked one more time I'd make her sleep with it on her nightgown.

These things sound awesome! Sounds just like what our little one and her friend would like for our trip in July! I'm looking for a way to make it "extra-special" for them.

I know the laughingplace has a selection, but I dont see the Gold ones... I wonder if the merchandise number will help?? It seems to me once upon a time people were calling the store direct in WDW... but I dont know how successful that was...

Well, now we will be the proud owner of 2 Princess GOH badges. I just ordered them from thelaughingplace.com. They were only $9.00, so I figure spread over a 9-day vacation, it's a great deal! I hope they get some extra attention from the CMs!

You mentioned that sometimes adults wear these and peope think they are working. I actually have a "real" name badge from WDW. I know these are illegal to have, but when I was working at Space Camp, a fellow counselor was also in merchandising at WDW, so she went to Casting and got me a "lost badge." I love it!

Of course, it is from about 4 years ago, but still fun to have!!

I wear one of every trip (along with my wife and 2 girls). The girls love the extra attention they get. I enjoy getting to talk to people (where's the bathroom, where's this ride or that restaurant, etc.). We've never had any rude experiences. The best times I have are sitting on a bench and having someone come up and start a conversation. I've met so many neat people at Disney that way. But it is hard to fess up that I'm not a real CM -- just a CM-wannbe!

At MGM at the store on the left hand side of "main street" as you walk towards the hat! I think you can get them at MK I just don't know where. Can you believe I FORGOT to get the NEW one, and I was there this past Tuesday. Gad, what a dope!
