Hi there! I'm looking to order Guest of Honor badges for our family's trip in October. Does anyone know where I can get these? I've checked out Gifts of a Lifetime and found them there for $10/each, I was just wondering if I could get them anywhere else a little cheaper? Thanks!

I just got a pink princess one for my DD (5) from mouseshoppe.com. It was only 7 or 8 dollars. They come from Disneyland. Disney World only has the Mickey ones. Mouseshoppe.com has both I think.

It doesnt matter what u pay, but just get them ahead of time, when we went last oct, the engraving machine was broken at mgm clock store which is the only place that sells them, my kids were heartbroken after wasting a half a day going from park to park to find out where we could get them.
they were very nice and took down our names and addresses and did end up mailing us them when we got home from our trip about a month later (no charge i must add :)) So we will have them for our next trip planned for thanksgiving 2005!!!!

They used to sell them at the Christmas store in Downtown Disney ... bought one there August '03.

We bought them there before also.
Are they not selling them there anymore?

Back in March '04 we purchased the red/mickey badge at the DTD Disney store and had it engraved at the DTD Christmas Shop. At the time it seemed as though the red/mickey badges were harder to locate, the 'new' styles with other Disney characters seemed more available; not sure if they are phasing out the red/mickey (we did hear that rumor though).

I believe we paid $7.

So they have new GoH badges with different characters@ the Christmas store? I'd heard they were changing, but didn't see any new characters ... just the red Mickey.

Whatever you do, DO NOT order from mainstreetmegastore.com!!! I ordered one on July 15th and have yet to hear anything from them. I have sent at least 5 emails with questions about what is happening with my order and have never received any response! They are terrible. I even told them that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB, but they still didn't respond to my emails. Just don't want anyone to experience such horrible service.

Wow - thanks for all of the responses! I ordered the red Mickey ones from thelaughingplacestore.com yesterday. They even had a discount code that was good for the next couple of weeks. I got 6 badges (engraved) for $55 including shipping. My only *slight* concern is that they arrive before we leave. I'm crossing my fingers at this point!

I have read other threads regarding the Guest of Honor badges. What exactly do they do? Do you get special treatment or attention wearing those in the parks?

Also, this might sound a little paranoid, but is it a good idea to have your children wearing a name badge?

The kids get personalized character interaction when they wear name badges. Plus, it makes them feel special to wear them.

I don't worry about safety issues with my kids wearing names badges at WDW. Plus, I never let them out of my sight.

Yes, you get more special, individual treatment. CM's addressed our son by name (which made him feel more comfortable) and Minnie even signed his autograph book: "To Ryan Love, Minnie Mouse".......he was thrilled she knew his name......
