First timers. Should I buy guest of honor badges?

I've only been three times, but I am planning on getting one as soon as I can the next trip -- scheduled for December! I bought both my DSs one last time, but didn't think to buy one for me, doh!

get this if you can. We got them for our first trip and my kids really enjoyed them. CM would call them by name and/or pull them out of the crowd to be an assistant, etc.

My DD9 had one this trip and wore it on her lanyard... CM's were always saying hello to her by name, it was really nice.

She kept forgetting that she had it on and was amazed that people knew her name

Even the Friendship Captain and bus drivers would say "Hi Noel" as she passed... They are fun for kids, I don't think I would want one on LOL

thanks. we are leaving in 16 days with my niece for her first visit. she's 4 y.o. and counting the minutes.

You can buy them at MGM (I am not sure what shop) I had the concierge pick my daughters up and have it for her in the room when we arrived.

You can also buy them online at this link... obviously they are more expensive then buying them at WDW.

These can be purchased at the Celebrity 5 and 10 in MGM. If they do not have the name you want, they will custom-make one for you for free!!!

Buy them for the whole family or just the kids?

I got them for the whole family on our last trip. My kids are all older teens, and they were stopped MANY times and asked for directions, etc. because people thought they were cast members. Although I found it very funny, they stopped wearing them after a couple of days of this. They liked the pins, though - they are a nice souvenir.

You can also purchase them at the Christmas Store in Downtown Disney. I got one for each of my children over Labor Day Weekend for our family trip in December. They will do engraving for you there, if you need a name. It only took a few minutes for them to engrave 4 GOB for me since I didn't consult with Disney before naming my children!! The cost was $5 and engraving was no charge.

Unfortunately you can't buy them from the GOAL website anymore!!! They said they are "changing" them. I have never seen these before. Besides this website, where else could they be purchased???? I HAVE to have one for our trip beginning 1/6!! This s a VERY special trip for DS7 (please see counter!!!) and this would just add to the Magic.

We are staying at WL...can we get them there? We are going to AK our first day. Can we pick them up there?

I guess I need to clarify by saying that I would like to get one of these BEFORE we leave and was hoping we could do that. If not, where can we purchase them at WDW or could I have one WAITING for us when we check in???? Someone PLEASE let me know--we leave shortly and would like to have an answer prior to going.

P.S. DS7's B-day is 1/5 and we leave 1/6. It would be SO awesome for him to have one! It would be even MORE awesome if I could arrange for the CM's at ASMo to give it to him upon checkin!!!!!!!!!!

I just went to the Gifts Of A Lifetime website where they sell the badges, and it says they are NOT selling them at this time due to a change in the appearance. I wanted to get these for our last trip in October and forgot!!! Now it looks like you cant order them!! Im going to see if there is anywhere else to get them in advance. It would be great to have them delivered to the hotel for the kids!!!

joshsmom the CMs at the resorts won't be able to give these to your child. You can however order a gift basket from WDW floral and have these put in if you wish.

Can we get these through the Disney Merchandise? Anyone have that address/number? I know I ordered Coonskin caps once and a Davy Crockett rifle...they were lifesavers

If you absolutely must have one before your trip, you can order one at Main Street Megastore. com. Beware, though! They are charging $25.00 for theirs! You can buy one at the parks for $5.00, I think, and I was able to order one from Gifts of a Lifetime before they stopped selling them for $7.50 + tax, so I think $25.00 is a huge ripoff! You might also be able to call WDW merchandising and order one to be delivered to your resort upon arrival. Their phone number is (407)363-6200.

oooooh....I want these! I called the merchandise number. The lady was very helpful, but told me that I could not get them personalized through them (aren't they 'premade'?). I just can't choke down $25 for one! Actually...I need two!

Can we get these at the resorts?
