I don't post very well, especially the quote things, even thou tiggerbell explained, so I thought I would do it this way. I just wanted to say that your trip reports were wonderful. I have read quite a few and I believe I have only posted once. One of these days I will start posting. We go to Disneyworld every year and can only afford Pop Century. It is okay as we pretty much just sleep there. Our 13 year old usually goes swimming in the evenings. We usually go in July as he has no school and my husbands work is a little slower at that time. Anywho, Just wanted to say love the trip reports and please keeeeeep writing. who knows maybe I will write one this time. We shall see.

hey Harley,,, Yes, I do think about all the jobs down there. And I would be totally happy just to run a popcorn cart in Epcot. If,,, and a big "IF", we could afford it. I dread having to "prove" myself all over again, in this trade, specially since my eyes now hang around the shallow end of the pool, I never know if my back is going to be ok, or if my foot would be better off modeling Hobbit footware.

Oh!, and Marita? I really thought that you were still on the gladiator theme there for a while. I thought you wanted Diane to take along a half Frenchman, half Greek, in the golf cart.

I guess I was wrong about Disney doing a "free dining " plan again.
I admit. I didn't think they would 3 years in a row.
My thoughts if I may?

It came out last year on April 4th, and we didn't book it till the end of May, even though we knew we were probably going.
This year, right from the start, Pop, CBR, All Star Movies, French Quarter, Coranado Springs, and that's all I heard about, could have been more, well, they were all sold out. NO SOUP FOR YOU! At least at those resorts.

Excuse me, if they were all sold out, they wouldn't have promo'd it in the first place. I really believe that they are just realeasing a few rooms at the resorts at a time. Remember, Disney does not like Dissers. We are much too knowledgible for their likeing. This way, since the dissers are the ones in the know right off, they are panicked into taking rooms at either Grand Floridian, or All Star Sports, or Music. They get to sell the rooms that don't go quickly.

And in a couple weeks, CBR rooms will then be available, along with Pop, and Movies, probably not French Quarter , cuz there's not many rooms to start with, or Coranado cuz it's a convention resort. Und zo frauleins, book a room at the muzak, and keep calling back until the others come into play.

Yes, we are now booked at Riverside, where we wanted to go back to anyway. Seven nights, followed by 3 at the Dolphin. All starting from the sixth of September. The Dolphin was booked by Diane 2 months ago, she got the free dining plan early yesterday morning.
Yes, I have to admire her optimism about September.
Her glass isn't half full,,,,,, she has a 55 gallon drum!

I'd love to hear from any of you if you might be down there at that time, as it is hoping to meet up with Jaime if we go, I miss you guys already.
I guess that's it. Oh Mari, you can take this away in a week or two, time to put it in the mausoleam upstairs. Just let it slide to page five and we'll be done.

connie, your post was great! and value resorts are a GREAT way to enjoy "the world". winkers... you know NOTHING about the time nebo spends in ...the bathroom.. he and his "uncle John's bathroom reader" BOTH come out looking like prunes! next place we buy will suredly have the whirlpool tub, with the jets(for nebo's many ailments) I;m talking HOURS! he loves to soak with his books, and his goofy mind just keeps "whirling" with many stories to share with all you kids! (his mind is a scary place to be sometimes... I know )
YES, my 55 gallon drum is still half full. believe it or not, my beloved nebo is a pessimist... but I just KNOW we will be there for free dining in sept! 6-12 at POR and 13-16 at dolphin. nebo meet????? Hey! It's thursday, this is what I"m supposed to do. I've been good recently, just posting when I had to, but you can't quit this stuff cold turkey, not when the brain is still running on 78 speed thinking of Disney.

And holy cow! has it ever been.

We leave in two weeks, still not sure If I'm going to have a company to work for when we return, but Dobbyanna has already got the whole September trip laid out. Free adr's and everything.
Now, this used to be my job, but she has kind of moved in, and that's just fine. I guess when it comes to Disney, I have created a monster now.
And that's just fine too.

But things have gotten a tad confusing lately.

Let's start with the Citgo.
This is where I go every morning for my paper, gas, and coffee on the way to work.

There is a woman that works there at five in the morning that also loves going to disney.
So, of course, I've been hitting on her.

I'm just kidding . Honey? honey?
Ok, the hitting hasn't gone that well since her husband is also there at the same time. But the three of us talk about it everymorning. Funny thing is they are leaving on the same day, May 4th to go down there. And this is where all my preaching always falls on deaf ears.
They are staying offsite on 192 at a Westgate I believe. Although, one thieng they did listen to was the special 85 bucks a ticket for unlimited use at Universal. So, as it stands, we leave at about 3 in the morning, they are flying, and they will be there about ten in the morning, right about the time we make it to Lexington, Land of Melinda.

I asked them not to drop any "blue ice" on us below them.
We'll probably meet up at I.O. A. for bit that monday.
That's it.

Then, there is another girl that comes on duty at the Citgo, who has also been questioning us a lot about DIsney, and she wanted the free dining if it came available. Now, you have to understand, she can get confused easily, and the next time I saw her, I made the mistake of asking her if she booked.
"Yep"! We are so excited. We're staying at Pop Century, where you showed me all the pictures from."

My heart soared.
Finally, somebody listened to me. And Diane.

But, I had to push it.

"Cool, what section are you staying in?"

"By the big Woody."

Ok, first woman that we are going to meet at Universal breaks up, so do other customers that have no idea what we're talking about, everybody is laughing except me.
"Denise?" "The big woody is over at the All Star Movie's." "No big Woody to Pop."
Well, she was then all confused. It turns out her family is staying at the Music resort. At least that's what she said. But I can sympathize with her now.
After Dobby made alll the plans for Sept., I just found out that my good buddy at work,my only good buddy left, made plans for the week starting Labor Day. The last three days conflict with our trip. He and his wife haven't taken a vacation in over 4 years, so , I wasn't even going to mention it, not with us going to Disney , twice, the last two years, I just told my honey we have to change things.

She was aghast, agape,,, well, you know the picture. But , like I said, her barrel is always 3/4 full, I'm just hoping for a sip.
So, today, she was able to switch everyting. Well, almost everything. You see the first thing she reserved was 3 nights at the Dolphin, starting on a thursday. The only nights they said they had. But we had to take it cuz the special was for 125 a night! For the proximity to Epcot and MgM, that is unbelievable.
Now here's where the major tinkering comes in. No free dining at the Dolphin. But it's so damn close to Epcot. Can't do the seven night at Riverside before the Dolphin cuz that's interfering with my coworker. ANd, the Dolphin is not cheap if you want to eat there, so you really want to be able to carry over a free table service if you can so at least one night is free dinner. Meaning, you don't want to start a trip at the Dolphin, then switch to a "free dining " hotel.

So, what we ended up with was 4 nights at French Quarter, starting the ninth, three at the Dolphin, then 3 at Riverside. That way, one meal gets carried over to a Dolphin transfer day, probably at Epcot, we let Disney move our luggage from resort to resort, and we get to fly and use Magical express from the airport, first to FQ. then when we leave Riverside.

Geesh! I'm so confused. I think when I pull the car into Disney World property in two weeks, I"m going to lock up and ,,,,, Wait! Where am I going?
Think I'll start with the Poly and ask if they have ressies for us, then just keep working my way down.
Oh great! Just occurred to me. I'm flying in September. Again. Great. I love to fly.
So, there you have it. September, if Diane's barrel isn't lying, is from the ninth to the nineteenth. I think we are stil going to miss Utahmommy and Melinda and Belinda, not sure about Jaime though. Uh oh. I get all her trips mixed up, I think this time we may actually, collide.

Ah Winkers, first we hit St. Augustine, the the evil place down the road for 3 nights. We won't actually be checking into CBR until the Ninth. Where are you staying by the way?
