I know everyone is waiting for the Oct schedule...but I looked at the historical hours and parades on the DIS boards. Looks like spectro ran mostly on Sat(sometimes twice on sat) and Mon in Oct. Any experts out there think it would be crazy to chose Sat pm over Mon pm for spectro. At touringplans.com MK is recommended for a Satruday night but I've also heard to always avoid MK on a Satruday. Any experts our there? Anyone else want to share when they "hope" to fit spectro into their schedule in October?

We always try to avoid seeing Spectro on Sat, but we won't miss it. So our plans will definitely depend on the schedule. ::yes::

Oh, I hope it will be running on the first Monday in October! I have fond memories of seeing the Main Street Electrical Parade as a child- I'd love to be able to share Spectro with my DD this fall.

I think it will stay the same being Mondays and Saturdays. Here is my reasoning. They have MNSSHP scheduled for various Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in the month of October. Which leaves them with Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays for Spectro. It probably won't show the 30th due to the MNSSHP, but maybe they will change that week to another day?

We have been anxiously awaiting the October Spectro schedule as well. We want to make the necessary adjustments to see it. We should get the official park hours and schedules by the end of the month, right?

Kimberly815,
Usually they are released at the beginning of August! We can only hope they come out Agust 1 :)

I have the park schedules here from last year, and it ran on a couple of Fridays last year as well. Not that they are any better than Saturdays. If you do try Saturday, I would do the second parade instead of the 1st. I think Monday is safer though.

We usually go in Oct. and the crowds are so light that planning a Saturday in the MK is fine -

I have never been where Spectro was not on Saturday night

Of people waiting to finalize plans around Spectro -

We're going 10/8 - 10/15 this year - during the same week in 2004, Specto was shown twice on Saturday, once on Monday and twice on Friday. MNSSHP was Tues and Thurs of that same week -

Additionally, UG is predicting the whole week to be a crowd level 5, but that Friday is a 6. Friday is also EMH morning (although this summer they made Fridays an EMH evening.)

So, my DH is advocating seeing Spectro on Monday if possible and then going to Fantasmic or Illumninations on that Friday which is our last night. I like ending with Spectro, but it seems that MK would be packed on that Friday.

This is good to hear. We will have a Sat evening(15th) after resting to spend in a park. I keep flip flopping becuase I really want to do LTT followed by spectro and wishes (or spectro after wishes if they have two). The more logical park might be MGM for the fantasmic dinner package. I'm leaving it where I can go either way depending on the shcedule. I guess we will know soon enough. I love to hear what everyone is up too and the logic behind it. :listen:

Or maybe please just post the historical hours link. I planned CM dinner on our first Sat (we are going 10/7-10/17), so we can eat dinner, and then hop back on the monorail for Spectro, which I assumed would be at 8 pm, and Wishes at 9. I made our PS for 5:40. If there is a second Spectro, we won't have to worry so much or rush. We plan on trying to see Spectro a few times during our trip, probably Sat, then Mon, then Sat again!

In 2004 the Saturday you are talking about (it's the 8th in 2005) had Spectro at 9 pm and 11 pm with Wishes in between at 10 pm -

I can also confirm, with the park schedules I have from last years trip, that Spectro ran 9&11 on the next 2 Saturdays as well last October.

AACK! More guessing! :earboy2:

I hadn't given that much thought to Spectro, but perhaps I should. We missed it in January because we would have had to miss Fantasmic to get to Spectro.

I guess if Spectro runs on Oct. 22 (Saturday) we will go from dinner at Boma over to MK and make ourselves comfy.
