It's pretty far aft which is my least favorite placement. Who knows though, maybe I will end up loving it!

We are doing a back-to-back and just decided to add this on to our original cruise a couple of months ago. So we get what we get. lol

Oh, no! What’s wrong? Is it the location of the room?

Unfortunately yes. When we booked we saw there was 17 midship deluxe ocean view rooms available and 2 forward ocean view rooms available. We knew there was a slim chance we’d get one of the forwards but we thought the odds were really good we’d get a midship room. We got one of the two forward rooms.

Got it! I’ve never stayed in a forward stateroom before, so I’m not sure what to expect. I’m just glad my view will be unobstructed. You might be able to request an upgrade at the port. I’ve seen other threads mention people getting one for around $150 fee.

We would love your room. We got one of the midship ones on deck 2. you got a Family deluxe oceanview which is considerably larger and has a really great rainshower. It’s not one of the restricted view ones at the very front. We were in 7510 for a med cruise and it was our favorite stateroom ever.

7506 isn’t a deluxe family oceanview. It’s just deluxe ocean view.

What makes it a Deluxe ocean view stateroom?
All rooms besides the smallest interior staterooms on Disney are deluxe. The special thing is in the word family. Those are longer and if they don’t have a verandah, they have a very large porthole. They can sleep 5, often they have a murphy bed just before the window (or verandah) as the additional sleeping surface.

Your 4a category is the same as an oceanview deluxe family stateroom, just with a verandah, not the porthole.

Thank you! These past few months on the DIS board have been very educational.

We have this category booked on The Fantasy for Sept. #8006 is our room number. This is a bigger room, from my understanding Disney doesn't put the exact square footage on the website listing. There is a wall angle in the room, but a lot of extra floor space. I looked at a lot of reviews and you tube videos.
We booked a back to back for September and wanted to stay in the same room, so this was about the only option left for us.
These two cruises we booked came out randomly a few months after original booking dates. The rooms went so fast by the time I saw them available and got the OK from my husband to book most of the rooms were gone.
It's a new category and room style for us to try.
Let me know what you think after you sail please.
