Grumpy and his wife and possibly the DIS Food Porn Queen are going to Disney

Love the pics of you and Mark... His face seems to look thinner.

Looks like you two had a nice dinner on the boat. The Chicago skyline looks really nice at night. :goodvibes

Thanks, Tim. Actually Mark's lost about ten pounds since his procedure (he had difficulty swallowing for awhile asyou know). It was a fun night.

Great Pix Kathy!!!

Thanks, poleloving Rosie. ;)

OMG WOMAN!!! You are lucky, that is sooo awesome!! I cannot believe how much you won, you must feel amazing! Ok, I need to run to the corner and get me some scratch offs...send me luck ok?? Massages and facials??

Todd asked if you would just hurry up and get here so we can go out and laugh our butts off!

Gorgeous darling...and Kathy you look good too :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Just kidding...you both look so great and happy and I miss ya...how many more days?

The other pic of you guys before you left the house, the one where you are laughing..well I could "hear" you laughing when I look at that picture

So did you buy a ticket? Massage and facial???? Now there is an idea. I've not had a facial in ten years.

Mark wants to know if Todd said that so that you would stop talking about our coming????? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You are such a comedian, aren't you? We are down to 31 days until Disney which means 35 days until we see you.

Our youngest son was making me laugh with something he was saying.

Is Mark giving himself the bunny ears in this pic?

Sounds like a really enjoyable night! You look fantastic by the way!!!! I love the Chicago skyline pictures...:cloud9: it will always be "home" in a way to me! :goodvibes

Actually, that was our youngest son making the bunny ears (he's such a donkey...didn't want to use the other word here on the DIS).

Thank you...I really ended up liking the dress. However, I noticed in the picture that I scanned and posted here it looks like my eyes are all black--not sure why the scanner did that.

Aww look at you two, so sweet :goodvibes

Thank you, Stefy.

Cute picures. :goodvibes

Thanks, Sophia. I keep watching for an update from you....

Great pictures Kathy. You and Grumpy look like you had a great time. Sounds like a fun evening, minus the dried up fish. I like you last firework picture Good practice for when you get to Disney!!!!!!

Thanks, Mary Ellen. We did have a nice time. The fish was really gross. I have to figure out this camera of mine. Andy bought it for me for Christmas and I haven't figured out which settings I need for what type of pictures so I keep practicing. I suppose it would help if I read the book. ;)

You guys look so happy in your pictures! I do love the Chicago skyline. Everytime I visit I remember how much I like it...then I hit traffic and don't miss it so much :rotfl: (Not sure if you know I went to Valpo and did my internship in Elmhurst, IL, so for a summer I drove through the city every day! )

...also: I need to go buy some scratch offs ;)

Thanks, Kelly. The Chicago skyline is pretty...day or night. Traffic...hate Chicago traffic (that is one of the reasons we moved OUT of the City). My youngest brother went to Valpo; our youngest son almost went to Elmhurst but we decided it was a little too intense school wise for him (not the most focused student at times).

1.) You look so nice in those pictures. Just as nice as you "sound" here on the DIS. You look so happy, too! :goodvibes

2.) I definitely feel you on the wanting to move away from Chicago. Too expensive! But our family is here and Greg has a stable job (we hope for him to find a better paying one SOON!). Maybe in the future.

3.) You are the one who got me to book Crystal Palace breakfast BTW. :) Also, your CSR thread was my deciding factor in our resort choice. Come to think of it-maybe you AREN'T such a good influence. :rotfl:

I see it says you live in Carol Stream. When I was younger, my Mom lived in an apartment on Gunderson Drive. (Not sure how the area is on Gunderson Drive now but it was beautiful then. We loved to walk to the park by the big soccer fields and we took a beautiful path to the grocery store and thrift store. My mom didn't have much money back then so we walked everywhere. We would walk to McDonald's, Walgreen's and a Pizza Buffet place and would cut through behind an ice rink and through a doctor's office area to get there.) I miss those days at times.

First off....how the heck did I miss you winning lottery money? Way to go woman!

Second, I'm glad to hear that the company party wasn't as bad as you thought it was going to be. I usually build it up in my head that it's going to suck but then it ends up not being too terribly bad. You and Mark look so nice in the pics!

1) Thank you...how very sweet of you to say.

2) It is expensive here...but it is expensive anywhere. We just can't handle the winters; and Mark is 57 and hopes to retire at 62.

3) Oh oh...I hope you like both. I sometimes worry when people try something new because of me that they won't like it. I realize every one has different tastes; but I think the pics of CSR speak for themselves.

4) I know where Gunderson is. Unfortunately, those apartments are not what they used to be and that is not the nicer part of town anymore. I know exactly what McDonald's you are talking about.

Thanks, Lisa. Yep, Mark won a big one--a nice added surprise for our trip.

It was an okay time (just a very long night).

DID ANYONE NOTICE MY TICKER TODAY??????????????

I swear I noticed your ticker and I was going to comment but then got sidetracked. :rolleyes1

 for ONE MONTH LEFT UNTIL YOUR TRIP!!!!

(That was 15 years ago and by the time my mom left it was going downhill. It's a shame.)

Great looking ticker, Kathy!!! :cool1: ...and the couple in the pics 'ain't' bad either!! You guys look fabulous! :goodvibes

As always, you are the luckiest person I've ever known (other than Toby) when it comes to the lottery. I win nothing, zip, nada - ever. Maybe I should send you the money and you can buy some for me and scratch them off - then just send along the winnings! :rotfl2:

I LOVE the pictures of you and Mark :thumbsup2. They are awesome, ya'll look so good :thumbsup2. Congrats on your winnings, that is a pretty decent amount of moula. The most I have ever won in the lottery is $10.....:lmao:.

Woo Hoo for your ticker! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

So close now!!!

Yes, and you are even closer. And I posted over on your PTR. Love your evening plans on Day 10. ;)

Send them my way. But do we get 10%? :rotfl:

Your ticker definitely made me smile! :woohoo::woohoo:

Thanks, Tina. Me too. :thumbsup2

Thank you, Dana. I usually win $10 or $50 -- but rarely anything above that. Now my dad used to win all the time.

Not sure if I'll get an update up tonight or on Sunday (tomorrow have to do laundry, get my hair done and then it is the 25th anniversary cruise for Mark's work), but I wanted to tell everyone that our tickets for the Halloween Party are paid for. I had a $20 winning lotto ticket and bought two $10 instant tickets and we just won $515. This pays for the party tickets and we can take Nicki and Todd to dinner and Nicki and I can go for massages while on Marco Island. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

That is awesome; do I sense a big Powerball winnings in your future? :thumbsup2

(If you do win, I'm sure somehow, someway, we are closely related). :rotfl:

Kathy, next time Dan and I are in Chicago, lets go to a convenience store so you can buy me some lotto tickets!

Don't know how you deal with that Chicago traffic all the time. :sad2:

Under one month to go!!!:woohoo:

:yay: Your out of the month mark and into weeks. Not long now :goodvibes

And yours is getting closer too! :)

I never play the regular lotto...just the scratch tickets. Maybe I should try the Powerball.

And I am sure you are related to me in some fashion (although not sure how since we totally disagree on resorts ;)).

ABSOLUTELY!! If it's over 15 million!!! :rotfl2:

Absolutely, Amy. I hate the traffic...it drives me nuts (I have NO patience lately at all).

Yep, under a month.

Totally disagreeing could mean that we are long lost brother and sister; after all siblings never agree on anything. :rotfl2:

So very true...I agree with NOTHING either one of my brothers say. But then, as my father-in-law tells my husband all the time, I AM PERFECT!!!! ;)

I think you need a Nicki Ticker so I know how many day you have until you come and see me....just a suggestion :lmao:

Thanks; the pictures were not our "personal" anniversary, but Mark's company's 25th anniversary.

Absolutely, Desiree...can't wait to meet you. 7:15 on the 18th. :)
