Okay, I guess I'm overdue for an update so here we go.

I last ended with our finishing our last morning at Disney World (Tuesday, September 21).

After we have finished doing all the attractions we want to do one last time, we will head over hear for our 1:40 ADR:

It has become a tradition of ours to make it the last meal of our trip. We just love the simplicity of the food and we have always had great service here. And it helps that they have the BEST french fries in all of Disney.

I for sure will be having one of these:

And I think we'll start getting this pic as our "last" pic of the trip too:

We should finish lunch up just in time to catch part of the parade. If not, we will purchase a balloon and then head towards the exit. I will ask some parents if it is okay if I give the balloon to a child in memory of my dad as we started two years ago.

After we leave the MK, we will take a quick drive over to the Animal Kingdom. Someone that I have gotten to know at the CSR who worked in the office has gotten a new job (her boss was transferred to a new, better job in California) and so she is now working at the AK. We want to stop by and say hello to her and to thank her for her many kindnesses during our stays at the CSR.

Once we say "goodbye" to Shannon, we will start our drive to Marco Island. If we're hungry, we will stop for a bite to eat along the way. If not, we'll just stop at a gas station and get some water, get to the condo, unpack and probably hit the sack as I plan on being at Starbucks at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning to see the FOOD GURU, FOOD QUEEN -- NICKI!

Up next, our first day on Marco Island.

We have yet to eat at the Plaza... I really want to have lunch there.

It is so sweet what you do with the balloon. I'm sure you will make a kid super happy!

Thank you, Michelle. I liked the dress too--it was very comfy. And no worries...I know you've had a lot on your plate.

You can; but you might need an ADR...it can be very busy at times. But no harm in trying.

Thank you, Mary Ellen. The Plaza gets a lot of crap because it's not "worth the dining credit." The way I look at it, if the food is good, it's worth it (I'd rather use a dining credit on a good meal and low cost than an expensive meal and really crappy food).

We went to the Cubs game today. I love my Cubs -- but they are absolutely PATHETIC. I'm waiting for pics to download...if they hurry up, I'll post a few here.

We are DIEHARD Cubs fans in our house (there is no rooting for the South Side team no matter how awful our team is). My boss gets tickets for us every year. This year Andy could not go because he started student teaching this week and had school, so we took Mark's best friend, Steve (Andy was probably secretly thankful he didn't have to go because we are REALLY bad this year).

Despite the outcome of the game, we had a beautiful day (91 degrees and hot and sticky) and we had a great time. Here are a few pics from our fun day at the ballpark:
