Grumpy and his wife and possibly the DIS Food Porn Queen are going to Disney

We'll eat a very early lunch since I won't have had breakfast. We're going to try Starring Rolls Cafe for the first time -- it is the only place close that gets good reviews every time I read about it. I want to be sure this year to do the Magic of Disney Animation; we have never done this and every time I read a trip report of someone doing it, it sounds like great fun. The last thing we have to do is to see Beauty and the Beast--my favorite live show in all of Disney.
The Magic of Disney Animation is one of my "must-do's" on every trip. The intro movie is fine, but it doesn't change. I skip past the character greeting and the interactive machines and head right for the back door to the animation lesson. I've never had a repeat yet, and my attempt at drawing Disney characters is one of my favorite souvenirs from each trip. It can sometimes require a little patience waiting for the next class, but for me, it's worth it. Have fun.

Hi Kathy,
Congrats on your successful BC surgery and Yay for "going home"! Thanks for coming over to my TR and I'm excited to hear about your trip. It looks like it's going to be wonderful.

Good idea stopping for a beer or 2 in Germany!!!!!

Congrats on your Blackhawks being up 2-0!!!!!

I am trying to catch up on a few threads tonight before I'm out like a light... probably around 9. LOL :goodvibes

A-hem...make that 2-1. Hockey isn't my sport, but I do love all Philly teams :littleangel:

We planned it that way! ;) We want to win it at home. :)

If I weren't a diehard Chicago fan, I would root for the Flyers for my aunt who lived in Philly until she died (although I could never cheer for the Phillies).

How's the puppy doing? Here's a photo of mine (although she is now 12 years old):

We love that train display in Epcot too...Brian would just walk through there all day with a beer and be perfectly happy. Can't wait for your next update!

Hi; how are you doing? That's what Mark does...gets his beer and just walks and stops, walks and stops. ;)

Thanks, Jim. I've read a lot of people who enjoy this, but it was YOU who convinced me that we must try it...so it is a definite "must do" this trip.

Thanks, Chris! I appreciate it. Glad you stopped by.

Aww your puppy is just gorgeous, whats her name?

Am I the only one who doesn't have the patience for the train in Germany? It's in the sun-no shade, and always hot! My DH could stand and watch it for hours, and I'm like, "COME ON--LET"S GO!"

Thank you, Stefy. That is Cookie (she is a Bichon with a very bad hair cut :rotfl:). She is our youngest son's dog; however, he totally ignores her (has since she turned a year old) and she is DEFINITELY daddy's girl. She adores my husband and thinks he is GOD! When he goes out of town on business, she sleeps on his pillow with her "butt" in my face the whole time. I'm now second on her "favorite" person pole (but I only moved up to #2 after my dad died because she adored my dad as well).

Aww bless, she sounds like a right madam :) Love her name too, so cute :cutie: She looks so small now, she must have been tiny when she was a pup.

I don't have any pics on the computer of when she was small, but she is now only 14 pounds...Bichon's do not get too big as they are "lap" dogs...as you can see from the pic--half laying on hubby's lap.

Lol, bless. She sounds perfect :)

DF said that when we get our own place we can have a puppy and I had a Maltese in mind, but now I am thinking a Bichon too. I have always wanted to get a dog but have never been allowed at home and me and DF are animal lovers, so he has promised that we can get one when we are settled :teeth:

I grew up around Philly, so if I root for any other teams, I'm automatically disowned

Cookie is adorable! Reminds me of my puppy growing up. We had a poodle, but she looked more like a bichon (we kept her cut that way.)

Bandit is doing well. He's a little menace sometimes! He's teething, so he's chewing on everything. Yesterday he was really into my hair! He's such a love puppy though, loves cuddling!

We just got a Malti-poo, cross between a Maltese and a Poodle. He's so adorable! I have pictures on my TR!

I NEVER had a dog when I was a kid because we lived in apartments. When Mark and I got married we got a beagle (we had to put him down right before we moved to our house 17 years ago). Then we got Cookie.

You should live in my house! Our youngest son is a DIEHARD Brett Favre fan so he was always cheering for the Packers and then the Vikings. If my team isn't in it, I don't mind rooting for another team (as long as it's not the Chicago White Sox, Phillies or any New York team).

Aww cute, off to go check him out :goodvibes

Bandit is adorable! If I were to get another dog after Cookie, I'd get one just like Bandit. :)

Kathy, Cookie is as cute as ever!

Stefy, we have 2 Maltese - one 5lbs and one 10 lbs - there are lot of Maltese and/or Bichon in need of home through breed rescue. When you are ready, maybe consider adopting. You will find some of the most wonderful furbabies in need of loving homes. You can do a search for rescue organizations, but if I can ever be of help, would be happy give you names of some outstanding Breed rescues. We started adopting through breed rescue about 12 yrs ago and it has been wonderful - these little one are so devoted.

Sorry to hijack your thread, Kathy..but I know you know how I feel rescue and getting rid of puppy mills! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

p.s the little one, Gracie, is 5 lbs and 17 yrs young and the bigger one Jackie, is 10 lbs, 14 1/2 yrs young.

My DMIL bought two Bichon's just before Christmas (that was ALL {including Ashton and Dayne's} they are adorable...we have an old lady too she is a poodle (I thought Cookie was her counterpart when I first seen the picutre). She is Gwendolyn's dog and on our last Disney trip DMIL had her last tooth removed  poor sweetheart! We also have a brown dachsund, her name is Brownie of course (she is mean even to ashton so she lives outside {only people she likes is my neighbors across the street, myself, Danny, and Dayne}, and Dayne has "buddy" a black lab but I think he is more Danny and Ashton's dog.

I love how you describe where Cookie sleeps when Mark is gone....tooo much!
:wave2: Connie

Connie, how wonderful that you have so many dogs. I do love dogs.

Well, guys, I was going to post an update tonight, but I'm too depressed because my Blackhawks lost and DID NOT LOOK GOOD either. I had such high hopes when they won the first two games of the series. Now it's a 3-game series; the only good news is we have home ice. But they have to start playing better. AN update tomorrow or Sunday...I promise.

Hi Kathy!

Can you forgive me one more time? I just caught up on your pre-trip report! And I am soooooooo sorry I missed your anniversary!

Happy belated anniversary!

So sorry to hear that you were sick too!
