Grumpy and his wife and possibly the DIS Food Porn Queen are going to Disney

Just found your pre- TR. I met you right? You made me a green Mickey Head? I'll be so embarassed if it wasn't you.

No, it wasn't me that you met....and please don't be embarassed. You were the nice moderator that reopened Ginny's trip report for me after she passed away so that people could say goodbye.

:goodvibes LOVE THE PICTURE of you and your husband kissing in France! And the pictures of your sons and with their coaching charges are very special, as well. As an eighth grade teacher, I know how important good adult role models are. You seem to have raised such wonderful sons.

Thanks, Tina.

I am so very proud that both of my boys are giving back to the sport that they have been involved with for more than half their lives. And the kids love them...which is the sign of a good coach and a fun coach. :)

Aww. Makes me sad again.
Sorry, now I remember you. I also know a DISer KatMarkTX, I forgot she has Texas after her name and lives in Louisiana. You have a twin, that has almost the same username and looks like you too. That is why I got confused.

I know what you mean. I think of Ginny every day...she was such a warm human being.

I'll have to "look up" my twin.

But I'm glad you stopped by anyway. :)

Normally, I would be depressed on this day of our trip -- because we will have to leave. But I won't be depressed this time because we will be going to Marco Island for a week and whether or not the Food Queen can join us for part of our Disney adventures, I know that we will be spending time with Nicki and Todd in Marco Island.

So we will probably have finished packing the night before after Downtown Disney, and I will be up early -- 6:00 early to shower, dress and go get our morning coffee so that I can get Mark up to then get in the shower so we can pack any last minute items. We will then load up the car, and we will see this sign on the way out:

See you next trip!

Then we will drive here:

We will take the ferry over to the MK and stroll down Main Street at 7:55 and get some pictures like these:

And then we will walk over here:

This is my FAVORITE breakfast in all of Disney. I love the puffed french toast, and I love Tigger and Pooh.

Then it is time to revisit some favorite attractions one last time for this visit. They will include (in no particular order...well the first picture will definitely be the FIRST ride):

Up next: our final meal at Disney and Kathy's new tradition in memory of her dad

I am hoping to hear Voices of Liberty this time around--never heard them before. I want to pop into the Tutto Italia Kiosk--the tiramisu is calling my name!

Love all the pictures you have been posting! :goodvibes

Thanks for the photos of your "boys", Kathy! You must be so proud of them!

I love the new update - and seeing the CSR sign made me a little sad - I really enjoyed it there and IF we go back in February I think this is going to be my first choice resort!

It's sad to see your day by day planning to come to an end :sad2:, but I hope once the REAL fun starts, you'll keep us informed about your Marco Island adventures as well!

This is our first trip having breakfast at CP, I'm so excited! We have an ADR at 8:30, so we can walk down an empty Main St!

Aggggg, I've been at the ballpark so much the past few days I missed like 3 updates!

For your DTD dinner, I'll put in my vote for EoS. Mom and I ate at WPE and afterwards I was wishing we had gone to Earls instead....

I love that your boys are coaching these young boys. It's very rare around here to find a coach in any youth league sport that isn't a dad to a kid on the team.

Ahhhhh, breakfast with Pooh followed by a day at the MK - doesn't get much better than that!

Stopped by to catch up and look at the new pics!! Kathy, I so enjoy seeing ones of the boys with boys they coach. You are very blessed with such wonderful young men.

Ohh, I don't like that we're nearing the end of your Sept PTR  ....hopefully we'll move on to Marco Island? ::yes::

Have a great Sunday! :goodvibes Another hot day here - we're in summer heat mode now..90's most everyday.

Thanks; you must do Voices of Liberty -- they are terrific.

I don't know how much I can do on Marco Island; I can post a few pictures for each day we are there.

I am extremely proud of both of those boys of mine (although there are days I still would like to strangle them both).

You will LOVE CP! It is so good and to have an empty Main Street -- priceless.

I definitely think we are going with EoS. Yes, the same can be said here...it is usually a dad. But Andy worked with a dad five years ago and it was decided then that it would be better if Andy became the head coach. He has been the head coach for four years (there's always a younger brother...so he just continues with the team). It is better than having a dad as Andy will not show favoritism. This is a travel team that he coaches.

Nothing is better than breakfast with Pooh and then the MK.

Hi, Christine. I wish it was 90 here. It did nothing but rain yesterday, but Mark got in his games because it did not rain in Rockford where is umpping. He spent the night and has three games today as well ($300 towards our trip -- YES!).

I'll do a few pics and thoughts for Marco Island.

Okay, I'm off to watch Markie play softball. He plays in an adult league with a lot of his old high school friends--it's good for a laugh to see how many of them are out of shape because they are college students with "beer" bellies. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'll try to finish up the last day at MK later tonight (especially if my Hawks are losing...let's hope not).

I love all of your photos. I love the one of adios amigos at the CSR. I was sad when it really was adios amigos to end my trip a few weeks back.

Thank you (and welcome!). Yes, that is a sad sign. :sad2:

Back from Markie's games. His team won both of their games by slaughter (five innings). Next week ought to be interesting...they have a doubleheader at 11 a.m.. The night before they are going to a bachelor party...I think I will definitely go to this doubleheader as I have a feeling there will be a lot of comedy on the field. :rotfl2::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Aww, I admit that I'm a tad jealous! I missed my Pooh-bear last year! :sad1:

Kathy

Kathy, then you must do it on your "surprise" trip in September/October.

Sorry guys...no update tonight. My Blackhawks are in an intense game. We're up 5-2 going into the third and my heart is pounding. :scared1:

Morning, Kathy!!! YOu have a wonderful last day planned that I'm sure will be full of anticipation for your next adventure!! I love that you make Dumbo your first ride.

A cool $300 is never a bad thing; great Marc can have this side money to put towards some extra fun!

Good day/evening to you, Liesa. :)

I will finish off the day tonight now that I'm in a good mood and my Hawks won and are one game away from winning the Stanley Cup. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Dumbo has to be first for Mark...I mean this is the man who busts his butt to make extra money so we can go on vacation to begin with (the poor guy was exhasuted when he got home last night from doing six games through annoying drizzle all day on Sunday).

Happy Monday morning, Kathy! Bless his heart - only someone with a Disney heart could ump in drizzle!! :lovestruc

Hope everyone is having a good Monday! :goodvibes

Morning, Ladies! I haven't seen you in a while, Christine.

Glad that there's a big Disney heart that enjoys a few spins on Dumbo yet. Somehow it makes umping in the rain all worth it, doesn't it??
