Grumpy and his wife and possibly the DIS Food Porn Queen are going to Disney

HAWKS WIN! HAWKS WIN! We're now up 2 games to ZIP for the Flyers in the Stanley Cup Finals. I'm exhausted and need to go to bed...back to work tomorrow. I will do another update of our plans tomorrow. Night everyone.

I could spend hours at the German train display too! There are so many fun little details to find, AND it's always great fun to find a lizard on one of the roofs!

Thanks; I'm so glad to be over the illness -- I hate being sick.

Yeah its not fun. There is flu going around over here in the UK because of this crazy weather. One minute its hot hot summer dress weather and the next its freezing dig out your scarf weather

Fab Epcot plans, love Epcot :goodvibes

Hey Kathy, yay for a quiet weekend!!! Dare we get our hopes up about Andy and Nicole? Gotta say, this sounds promising.

Love, love, love your Epcot plans.

Okay girlfriend, your thread has gotten me going! In spite of what we have going on, we booked airfare to Orlando (best airfare I have ever gotten to WDW in the six years we have been going, how could I resist).

Then went to book CSR and it was sold out. :sad1: Cm said to keep checking so for now, I am booked into a CBR pirate room on a AAA discount. Which is exciting, this is a surprise trip (if we even get to go) for the kids and they have always wanted to stay in one of those. Thought I would go with POR but then when CSR was sold out I was so bummed I just wanted something different. Weird me!

Cm said CSR is one of the first to sell out because 'it has so much to offer for the price". Which you already know!

I love strolling through the shops in Germany too - you can keep the brats though - give me a pretzel and a beer instead! :thumbsup2

That drain with the hidden mickey is adorable! What a perfectly awesome picture. I must find that!

I also love your DH's patriotic hat! Perfect for the holiday!

I found it so incredibly charming, in fact, that I just stuck in on my computer as wallpaper! :thumbsup2 Thanks, Kathy!

Have you ever noticed in Germany that they decorate the village by the train for the different occasions at WDW? So cool.

Our family gets mesmerized by the train set, too!

Add me to the list of those who'll be on the lookout for the HM drain!

Yes, I love when those cute little guys are on the roof too. :)

Thanks, Stefy. I'm sorry the flu is going around there too. Yes, the weather here is hot one day, mild the next and cold the next. :confused3

I'm sorry you weren't able to get CSR, Amy, but I know that you like all of the moderates and I'm sure you'll have a great time at the CBR. I'll be interested to see the review (as I'm sure someone else will too ;)).

DH is the brat lover; I'll take bite, but that's about it. I'm with you...give me a pretzel and beer. :worship:

That will be your quest in September...to find the drain. :thumbsup2

Glad I could be helpful.

I did not know that...but we've never been for any of the holidays or anything.

Our family gets mesmerized by the train set, too!

Kathy

It's so fun to watch and just look at the details. If I don't nudge Mark along, we could be there for HOURS! ;)

Kathy, you crack me up! Um yeah, I am sure all eyes will be glued to my review.

I do love POR, CBR and CSR. Did not care for POFQ (know I am in the minority on that one). I called back tonight just to see and no CSR. Can't get it to come up online either. I am wondering if a convention has some rooms blocked out and that they may come up later?

Love the looks of the pirate room, just still not sure about that main pool. Although if this October is like October 2008 was for us, we may not get much pool time anyway.

I love  WS! I cannot wait to explore it more this year. I hope you had a great holiday weekend! :)

Good idea stopping for a beer or 2 in Germany!!!!!

Congrats on your Blackhawks being up 2-0!!!!!

I am trying to catch up on a few threads tonight before I'm out like a light... probably around 9. LOL :goodvibes

Max is going to love that train. Can't wait to get back to EPCOT.

I'm sure Max will be beside himself.

Well, you know me, I'll be pulling for the CSR opening up (I heard the pirate room beds are shorter than the standard beds in the mods because of the way they are shaped and the mattresses are not two real mattresses).
Andy said in July the pool was way too crowded, but maybe you'll have better luck in October.

I love  WS! I cannot wait to explore it more this year. I hope you had a great holiday weekend! :)

I had a great holiday weekend and hope you did too. I love WS too...I could spend three or four days there.

Hi, Tim. I've missed you!!!! Yes, my Blackhawks are up 2-0 and hoping for 3-0 after tonight's game (my stomach is already in knots and I have all this excess nervous energy :rotfl: ).

Get some sleep and we'll catch up soon. :)

Kathy, I want to try one of those pirate rooms out, but then again I am just not sure. I may just switch to a regular room at CBR (they had AAA rates available for standard rooms) and save $300. I called yet again today for CSR, still booked up. I just know that at 16 and 14, this is probably the last time my kids would have any interest in one of those rooms. Although I have to say, Dan and I are pysched and think they look pretty cool. Just not thrilled about that pool, it was a madhouse last June as you may remember me saying.

My biggest wish is that I'd get free dining at CSR for this trip but I fear its not happening.

So I'll just live through your CSR thread and this thread and make sure that I get it booked early next time. We were supposed to stay there this past March, switched to Pop to save $800, discount got extended to our Easter Week, switched to POR since it was all that was available. I just don't have CSR Karma on my side right now!

Ahhh, sorry to hijack with my woes but I just wish so much I had booked something a month or so ago. Because it was available cause I checked!:sad1:

Hey Kathy
sorry I have been MIA lost your thread but resubbed!
sorry to hear that you were under the weather and happy to hear you feel better!
Ashton loved the Germany train garden he stood there and chased the trains around for quite sometime (enough time for Danny to find a smoke break)...as always loving the pictures and your plans sound wonderful...
:wave2: Connie

Hi, Connie. No need to apologize. You were on your trip and have been busy with your trip report (I so love the pics of Ashton). But I'm glad you found me again.

Hi, Amy. CSR Karma will return to you...I have faith. The kids can always use the quiet pools -- that is what Andy and Nicole did, and they took the boys to the water park rather than swim with all the little ones.

I should have an update in the next day or two.

We love that train display in Epcot too...Brian would just walk through there all day with a beer and be perfectly happy. Can't wait for your next update!
