Grumpy and his wife and possibly the DIS Food Porn Queen are going to Disney

Good morning, Kathy! Just wanted to stop by and say hi. Hope you're enjoying the nice long weekend. :goodvibes

Congrats to Markie and tipsy is good!

He won the 3rd tournament too and won another $100 for a $350 profit on the day. :)

Tipsy is okay--and first time after drinking a few beers I didn't wake up with a headache the next day (I'm not a big beer drinker).

Hi, Tina. It's been a nice weekend...although I was hoping for some sun to work on my tan. :sad2:

Well, since it is such a gloomy day here...cloudy and only 73, we decided to go to Yorktown Mall and go to the Disney store. Well, we got there and there is NO Disney store...they closed it three months ago. So Mark offered to drive to the dreaded Woodfield Mall and here is what I got today.

I decided after last year and how hot it was, that I needed a light colored tshirt (a lot of my Disney shirts are red or black). This is what I came home with:

And I picked up two of these for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party:

I'm going to spend the rest of the afternoon going over our lists for packing, etc. I'll be back later with my questions for Day 4.

Love the tee and the bags! FUN!

Dreaded Woodfield. That about sums it up! Just thinking about that parking lot gives me hives and I haven't lived there in 10 years!

Parking lot! Traffic! Clientele! Overpriced shops! I could go on and on. After I got home, I looked up Disney Stores and the only other close one to us is Oakbrook (had I known that, it's 10 minutes from Yorktown). Now I know that I don't have to go to Woodfield again. :)

Oakbrook is not nearly as bad, so much easier to get in and out of! And it has what you need.

Although my car was broken into there....that was at least 12 years ago.

Awww. I love the tshirt that you bought. It's so cute! I didn't buy a Mickey shirt while I was there. I got a hoodie instead. You know, since the white stuff will be flying in no time! :lmao: Now that Operation Sneaky 2010 is complete, I'll be able to catch up on your LONG trip report. :) Not long now, girlfriend. :cool1:

I need a hoodie too and will be looking for one while there. Yes, the leaves are already changing colors here and it is very depressing. Glad to have you back...we missed you.

cute bag and shirt!!

Thanks; and the bag was only $2.50 each.

Update coming up soon.

Nice t-shirt! I recently bought one there in red and I love the way it fits.

And, yes, I can't believe it, but you can tell the weather is changing and it will be fall soon. As for any tanning time, I think I'm done for the season. :sad2:

The problem is we go from summer to winter...there never seems to be much of a fall anymore.

Okay, back to the plans.

If you remember (I know...it's been awhile), I list the three things we want to do on a given day, and then I ask you to give me one or two of your "not to be missed" for that particular day.

So, we are on our last day at the World :sad2:.

We will be at the MK for an 8:05 a.m. ADR at Crystal Palace and have until 1:40 for our Plaza lunch ADR to do what we want to do; we need to leave the MK no later than 4 p.m.

Here are our three must-do's for this final day:

1. Ride Dumbo
2. Have a last popcorn and Mickey bar
3. Get balloon in memory of my dad to give to a child

Okay, what are some of your ideas for us to fill the day (and NO dole whips...sorry, we just don't care for them).

For me personally, one of my Must Do's at the Magic Kingdom is visit ToonTown, simply because it's the last chance I'll ever have to see it, and I want to get a ton of pictures/video. We skipped it last year, so when I go in a month, it'll be the first time I've looked at Mickey and Minnie's houses in 20 years

Is it still open? Also, I was wondering of the Walt Disney World Railroad is still running (this is one of Mark's favorite things to do); I wasn't sure with the renovations whether or not it was still running.

I should probably check TR's for people who have just gotten back, but I think I read on the AllEar's site that it's not supposed to close until January. I haven't seen anything about the Railroad not running either.

I'm not sure if you already mentioned this or not, but there is no way I could go to the MK without visiting the Hall of Presidents.:woohoo: Of course, I was a history major.

Love the t shirt, and the bags!

For your last day at MK, I would suggest going on Pirates of the Caribbean! No specific reason, it's just a fun ride! :cool1:

Hey Kathy, first of all I am so glad Mark's surgery went well and there was no blockage! Secondly, I am so sorry I haven't been around, my sister's life imploded about three weeks ago and Dan, the kids and I have been going down to Colorado Springs every waking minute to help her get moved and settled into a new place. We haven't been home the last three weekends and I have been gone some during the week too. Crazy!

Anyway, your trip is so close, I can't believe it! One of my friend's over on the WISH board just got back from CSR and loved it and said how she can't wait to hear about my upcoming trip there. Made me want to cry. Oh well, I am going to either book a bounceback or just a regular ressie and when I do, its going to be CSR come hell or highwater! Although I am very excited for CBR, just wish I had left my reservation ALONE.

Say hi to Mark, I got that same tee shirt for Maria for her birthday, too bad our trips don't overlap, you two could be twins!

Yes, POTC will definitely go on the list; thanks.

Tina, I like the Hall of Presidents too; we saw it last year when it reopened after adding our newest President. I would like to go again this year.

Thank you.

Hi, Amy. My oh my...you guys have had so much going on lately. I hope things are getting better with your sister.

11 days and counting. I'm thrilled that Mark was okay (I was very concerned when they first told us about the artery).

So glad that your friend enjoyed CSR (you know how muchy I like hearing this).

One of these days...you will be back at CSR.
