Grumpy and his wife and possibly the DIS Food Porn Queen are going to Disney

thinking of you guys this morning :grouphug:

Thank you.

I'm glad it went well!:grouphug:

Thanks.

Thanks for the update! I was just wondering how things went. Looks like all our prayers were answered. I'll continue to pray for his recovery.

Thank you! :)

The procedure lasted less than an hour. It turns out that the stress test can be false 10 out of 100 times and Mark got one of those 10! However, with his history, it is better safe than sorry. They did not put in a stent; there is no blockage, the blood flow is fine, there is no damage to the heart, etc. The stents from his heart surgery (when he had his heart attack) nine years ago are doing their job. He will eat breakfast around 11 a.m., then they will get him up to walk and then he can go home. We should be out of here around noon or so.

Thank you all so much for the prayers. My friends here on the DIS are the best.

I'll write more later. However, surgery went well--no blockage and Mark is going home later today (after lunch sometime). Thank you for all the prayers and good wishes.

No blockages - Sweet! It doesn't get any better than that! :woohoo:

Thank you, Mary Ellen. I have to admit I was a little more worried than letting on (especially since Mark had a heart attack nine years ago). This is a huge relief and I can get into the rest of my Disney planning.

I'm glad to hear Mark's surgery went well!

For snacks, we like the pretzels in Germany, the Strawberry Tart in France, and my Mom has a thing for Fish & Chips in England!

Thanks, Michelle.

Sorry I've not been around. I'll do a Day 4 tomorrow. Right now I'm exhausted and a little "tipsy." We went to Costco, grocery shopping and then the mall. Then we waited for our youngest to get home from Dubuque to go to the high school coach's house. Every year, the Saturday before Labor Day, he has a Bags Tournament. Although Mark and I did not play this year (Mark couldn't), we went and watched the first tournament (they play two) and I was drinking beer which I very seldom drink and it went to my head. ;) The good news, is Markie won the first tournament and won $250. His high school coach is fond of saying to him: "College boy, do you go to class or just play bags all day long?" Coach has NEVER beat Mark. Before we left, they had a bet that Markie would lose in the second tournament before Markie did. That should be a $20 win for Markie.:laughing:

Hi Kathy  I am glad to hear everything went well with Mark's surgery and that he is recovering nicely. Good to see you only have a week and then you can both relax and recuperate in the Magic of Disney :goodvibes

Congrats to Markie on his winnings :teeth:

Thanks, Stefy. It was good he won...I didn't have to send any money home with him when he went back to school. And, boy do we need the relaxation and recuperation in Florida. :)

Nice winnings!! :thumbsup2 Sounds like you had a great day overall. :goodvibes

It was a great day, Stephanie...thank you.

For those of you that I have sent over to my very good friend, that's nice's PTR, about Juliana and her Make A Wish Trip, I ask that you say some extra prayers for my very good friends today. Tim's wife, Mel, who was expecting their second child, lost the baby on Friday and it has been a very sad weekend for them.
