So as I am literally walking out of Toys R Us with my last gift my son's therapy worker texts me that since I got my son a Keruig she wants one now too!! Problem is since I bought his ($79 at Target with a $20 gc) I stopped watching for deals on them.

Anyone see any deals lately??

Please tell me you're kidding? :confused3 You're taking last minute gift orders for something like that?

If you sign up for Bed Bath and Beyond emailings, you'll get a 20% off one item code. I bought DH's Mr. Coffee single coffee brewer there -- would save you about $16.

Unless the worker is a REALLY close friend, though, I'm not sure I'd bother.

Kohls is running a sale right now and if you have their CC you get an additional % off.

I just saw the elite (B40) at stop & Shop for $90. Not sure you'll get better at this point.

ETA: by "just" I mean like two hours ago. Their sales end thursdays so you'd have to call today and get it - price would probably go up tomorrow.

Don't know if you have Shoprite Grocery stores where you are, but ours had them for around $89 when I was there yesterday.

Why are you buying this for her? This is a really expensive gift for someone who is not in your family - very strange.

I got my DS's speech therapist a $25 Starbuck gift card & a home made card from DS. But what bugs me is not the expense, your money, you do whatever you want.

But did I read your post correctly that she texted you & asked you for a Keurig ? That seems a little forward to me.

Maybe you guys are really close friends as well so she feels like she can ask for this or you've both set a precedent for extra nice gifts :confused3

Anyway, I saw one a set at BJ's for $127 that comes with the filter, machine & 24 coffee samples. Seems like a good deal. Good luck, don't mean to give you a hard time :hippie:

If you already bought her a gift, I would just go with that and ignore the Keurig request. I honestly don't think I'd have the nerve to request a specific gift from someone, especially so close to Christmas!

Just a thought  Maybe she is just helping the woman find one at a decent price? Or maybe the therapist is willing to pay her back?

Christmas is about giving her decision if she want to give her one

I don't understand your post. Did she ask you to buy her a Kuerig two days before Christmas or ask you to help her find a good deal on one for herself?

I didn't quite understand it either. I saw some good deals before, but you're down to the wire now. Kohl's has the $10 for every $50 spent thing going on right now.

This ! I didn't understand if OP meant that the therapist was asking her where to find a good deal or asking her to buy her a Keurig 2 days before Christmas. 2 different scenarios with lots of possible answers :teacher:

JCPenneys has the Mr. Coffee Keurig for $59. I saw the sign today when we were in the store.

There is no such such thing as a cheap Keurig!

We got my husband's Keurig at Goodwill for $12. Never say never! :-) Granted, now I can't bring myself to pay full price for a second one for him to keep at work. But I'm watching Goodwill like a hawk!

I also got one at the Goodwill. Mine was $25, a return from Target b/c they salvage their stuff to Goodwill. Not that it helps the OP...

As far as a cheap mini platinum Keurig, QVC.com has one As Is listed for $67.21; Item K155049, with My K-Cup. I think that's pretty good.

Thanks for all the replies.
Just wanted to clarify the situtation. My son's therapist has been absolutely wonderful with him; taking him overnight, helping with the other kids, etc. We think of her as family. She DID NOT ask me to get her a Keruig, but mentioned that she thinks she wants one now. That's what Christmas is about, buying things for people who want them, hopefully with a small element of surprise.
