I am having trouble reading the maps, so if anyone has stayed at Pop, I would appreciate your help with a good suggestion for rooms. We are looking for a ground floor room I guess in the 50's area that would look out into the courtyard area. Has anyone stayed in these rooms? Are they noisy? I would like to get a feel before I make my request to CRO.

Thanks!!!!

from POP, we had an awesome room in the 50s section, ground floor, room #3129, overlooking the lake. Very, very quiet area. :flower:

That is down where we were, it was so nice down there, that you didn't even realize you were at a value resort :sunny:

look out into the courtyard area. Yeah, I know its a bit noisier, but the kids like to look out and see the people passing by.

Floor lay out for Pop Century
Here is the Pop Century FAQ thread. Page 2, post #19 is the floor layout.
Rooms 1-12 and 61-72 of each building and floor seem to face the pool/courtyard. For example: Lady Bldg., facing pool, first floor, you would request 1101-1112 (middle courtyard) or 1161-1172 (pool).
I am just going by the diagram, so I hope this is right. Tramp would be 3###, Juke box 2###. Different floor? #2## would be 2nd. floor, etc.

If you want a really good view of the pool, and not as much foot traffic going by, get an upper level room.
I think pool view is quite noisy, but a lot of people like it.
We were first floor, and I was surprised that it wasn't noisier. We were just 2 doors down from the pool, behind the jukebox icon. Not pool view, but very near the pool. Really liked that spot.
Have fun!

I can't remember what room we were in....50's bld behind Tramp.

We were right outside a courtyard type area and could see the lake....you could see the Epcot fireworks just by stepping out the door....very nice and a quiet room!

Dumb question I think... but how far out can I fax up my room requests? And can you still fax them or is there an email address for this now?

Thanks!!

We had a perfect view and no noise when we went in June. I was concerned about the noise 'cause I have a toddler who is a light sleeper. I can't remember our exact room number but it was in the 60's section behind the Play-doh...facing the lake. (1st floor) We had a bench right outside our door and at night, DH and I would sit out there and relax while the kids were asleep. (we would leave the window open and we could see them from the bench...like I said, perfect) :)

No email address. And they say the official word is faxes are highly discouraged. Just to be safe, you should make sure that your requests appear on you reservation by calling whomever you made your reservation through. Most of the time this should take care of it, and in the cases where you don't get your requests (resort at peak occupancy, for example), faxing wouldn't have helped anyway.
