We checked in to cabin 2763 on Sat Sept 23 at 10 p.m and shortly there after went to bed. In the morning when we got up this is what my husband socks looked like. The floor was that dirty in the cabin. AFTER i showered walked to the bedroom to get dressed then walked to kitchen to eat, I had to go back to the bathroom and rewash my feet. The picture of the wash clothe shows how dirty my feet were after we showered and walked a short distance. I complained about it but the floor never got cleaned. We were only there for 2 nights. I can't imagine when the last time these floors were cleaned.

Guaranteed after your post, it'll he back to them. Bad publicity means -$.
Hopefully this was because resources (human) were directed to hurricane repair and clean up. We've been going there for 25yrs and stayed in the 2700 loop over dozen times, never an issue.

We go again in April and October, I'll be watching and hope that this isn't a trend to keep profits up for shareholders

Not sure if this building was affected by the recent hurricane, but if it wasn't, I can imagine that Housekeeping had bigger things on their mind than ensuring each cabin floor was shiny and clean. :( I mean the whole FW campground/resort area only opened back up a week and a half ago.

Sorry to hear that it put a damper on your trip, just let Guest Services know about your expectations and be considerate of the demands of Guest Recovery over the past few weeks ;)

Just can't agree that the cleanliness of the 'opened' guest rooms would be connected to the hurricane. This should be an entirely different department area, and should not have been opened until 100% ready. Would not think after this time that any maid service could not be up to par. Rooms don't get that dirty in a day/few days. The OP has every right to expect a clean room.

Considering how nasty the comfort stations are now that a private company cleans (or doesn't clean) them, this is not surprising.

I did not know this! If that's the case it will be very disappointing! Even tho we have our own bathroom/shower- it's still really nice having those clean comfort stations for bigger families!

On our last trip in March the CS between 1700/1900 was filthy and even after 2 complaints to the front desk very little was done beyond the occasional wipe of the sink and vacuuming the entry rug. The floor below the plastic grating in the showers was filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned in quite some time, there was standing water in it every time, not to mention the toilets weren't cleaned daily (ask me how we know) It was a huge disappointment and nothing was done during our 2 weeks there that corrected it. Its one of the reasons we wont be at the Fort next year (for the first time since 1993)

after 2 complaints to the front desk very little was done

1) After one complaint not addressed, ask to speak with the Guest Services Manager (aka: "GSM").
2) Every resort has one . . . they oversee Front Desk, Concierge, Bell Services
3) He/she will get you action, because you say your next call is to the Resort General Manager.
4) Managers get into BIG trouble if a repeat complaint goes over their head.

Thanks for the insight. Our son was the one that spoke to the CM's at the front desk so I am not sure exactly who he spoke to both times. I will keep that info handy in case theres a next time. Unfortunately we also got caught in the non expiring ticket audit and were told we had zero days left at the turnstiles at MK when we had checked at the front desk at the Fort at the end of last trip and they confirmed we had 3 days left. Unfortunately the pixie dust was in short supply this trip.

That is a real shame to hear how the comfort stations are being maintained. Our first year there (after our cabin stay) the stations were immaculate. Like could not believe how well they kept them! I too have noticed a decline each year :( Atleast this year we have a travel trailer bathroom and won't need to use them. Still disappointed to hear this.

When we were there in December the CS in the 100/200 loop was spotless every day. I haven't seen many consistent complaints about the bathrooms on reviews, Facebook groups, or here. I've seen some sporadic ones, but I'd be interested to hear if it is becoming more common. It's not in my experience, but my experience is pretty limited.
