Grooms Cake

I love the idea of having a grooms cake however, i havent seen or heard of any one having one at their DFTW. Does anyone know if disney does groom cakes???

absolutely! Do you want it at the rehearsal dinner or the reception? Either way, they'll make one. We're having one at our rehearsal dinner.

We had ours at our reception. Ours was in the shape of Texas. Honestly, with the bride's cake. That was alot of cake. Even after giving people extra's we ended up giving the rest to the people who worked our reception.

yeah, well my fiance is a HUGE florida gator fan (( i love the noles! hehe..) but i was hoping they could make a cake incorporating that...but i'm open to other cute suggestions!!! POST ANY PICS, IDEAS PLEASE!!!

My DH is a HUGE Jack Sparrow fan so we are doing a Pirates of the Caribbean themed Groom's Cake to be served at our illuminations DP, it will look similar to the pic below:

When DF and I first met, he was a HUGE UF fan and I was an FSU fan. Now that we've been together for ever I'm a UF fan as well...my garter is actually gators . We're not incorporating any other UF stuff at the wedding, maybe the Gator fight song at the reception. But for the Groom's cake we're having a tower of glazed doughnuts...DF has an obsession with doughnuts lol.

I am going to do ours at the rehearsal dinner, and it is going to be Packers theme..

My DF is a HUGE Packers fan and when we where at our site visit he saw a cake that Disney did which was Packers.. So we are going to do that!!!!

This is the cake I wanted to do, but we didn't have the budget. I think it's actually a cake for a baby, but who cares? It's friggin' adorable!!

Mmm... pinkcakebox... We considered having her make a cake for us, but didn't want poor matron of honor to truck it up from New Jersey.

Thankfully, the pastry chef who's doing our cake is very creative and will have a big surprise at our wedding.

They say it's traditional to have it at the rehearsal, but I want everyone to see it.

I'm having a groom's cake at our rehearsal dinner at O'hana's. I decided to just go with disney for this. I was gonna go outside the park to publix. But I didnt want the trouble.

We are having a round cake for a baseball with the red stiching and the ny mets logo in the center. My DF like carrot cake with cream cheese filling. Gross. I hate carrot cake but I know he was dissappointed we werent having it for the wedding cake.

Go through your planner and tell her/him what you want. Any logos/pictures you can email them to them in a high resolution. My cake for 25 people is costing 106.50.. It's high because of delivery fees.

I have to say Carrie, anytime there is a groom's cake thread, I LOVE when you post the little octopus! He's just too adorable. He makes me smile.

We may do one, but ours will be LSU if we decide to do it. We will have ours at our Welcome Dinner the night before the VR.

I'm having a University of Miami Football cake from the local Publix. I'm presenting it at O'Hana's the night before. My DF loves football, especially UM football and he looooooves Publix cakes... so it's a win win!

We had a "Grooms Cake" for our wedding cake. We ordered it from Publix. Go to www.Publix.com, then Specialty Cakes then Grooms cake.

Then ours was titled "Macho Mocha" (go figure, lol)

Our families and guests just fell apart over how good this cake was. We substituted the chocolate cake for yelllow and had fresh strawberry filling.

I was jealous of my own cake, they all talked about it more than me

We had my son pick it up and take it to the wedding site. Found out later that www.wegoshop.com will pick up cakes from Publix and deliver them for you.
