Grocery store near Vero

We are planning on taking our first Vero Beach vacation in Oct. We will have a car and are wondering about a grocery store close by. We hope to have a 1 bdr. There was availablity for my dates last week but I can't book until next week (7 month window).Fingers crossed!

There is a very nice Publix in Sebastain/Wabasso on Rt. 1 not to far from the bridge to Vero DVC.

We went to a super Walmart there. It was a further drive I think than the Publix. But not too bad. Sorry I'm drawing a total blank on exactly where.

I think it's on 60 left side going towards the mall.

The Super Walmart is on Route 60........directions below.

Go south on US 1.......about 6-7 miles
Turn right(west) on Route 60...about 2-3 miles
Walmart is on the left side, right before you get to the Indian River Mall

We usually end up going to the Super Wal-Mart just because we always end up buying more than just groceries... (Snorkel masks, life jackets, etc..)

There is also a Super-WalMart on the north side of Sebastain on Rt. 1

The Publix and Walmart on Rt. 1 in Sebastion are about 15-20 minutes from the resort. I believe that going to Rt. 60 would be a little bit longer than that. Disney's Vero Beach Resort is actually located in Wabasso FL, but I guess it would be a little more difficult to market "Disney's Wabasso Beach Resort". So when you look at a Florida map Sebastian seems closer to Wabasso than Downtown Vero Beach.

Exit the resort. Take a right. At your first light take a left. Go back over the BIG bridge. When you get to the next light take a right. This is the major road (don't know any of the road names. Sorry). In a few miles you will see a grocery store on your left (Publix?) and about a mile later you will see the Super Walmart, also on your left. It's about a 15 minute drive. Very easy and convenient.

Thanks for all the info and directions! i printed it up and put it with my rental car info! I like the idea of the Super Walmart as we can buy beach chairs there as well.

We will be there in Oct also. I heard you could get boggy boards also a Super Walmart which is what my boys want.
