Grocery delivery

We are getting the free dining plan, and all we need is water bottles. Garden Grocer has a minimum of $40, plus $12 delivery charge. Any other ideas of how to get 2 cases of water bottles? We will not have a car. Does anyone know if you can buy 6 packs at the resort stores?

you could always buy them where you live and just mail them down to disney about a week before you are due to get there(depending on where you live of course for the time for the package to get there) and the water will be waiting in your room for you when you get there.

The less expensive way is to bring them from home. Depending on how you pack and how many luggage pieces you have you should be able to fit at least one case. We are a family of 7 and we usually pack 2-3 cases between all of our luggage. We put bottles in zip lock bags and place them between clothes. It saves a lot of money. We can get a case for $4-5 at home and it would cost more to buy and ship so it's worth it.

What about getting a cab and going to the closest grocery store? I'm not sure how far the closest grocery store is and if it's even worth the cost of the cab.

We have ordered cases of water from Costco before without issue (their price online includes del. & tax). There have been reports of mixed results tho this fall on how that's working out. The convention resorts now charge a small fee (like $10) to receive and hold packages so it becomes expensive if you're staying at one of those. Costco has also cancelled some orders recently saying they can't deliver to hotels any more. But then there are some people who have received their orders with no problems.

What about packing empty water bottles (enough for your family) and just shipping a Britta pitcher to your room or if you have room in your luggage, pack one? Takes up less room, less waste, and you may not have to pay a delivery fee. DVC rooms have the fridge so it can stay cold for the next day's use. Just a thought...

Why not just get a couple of cases of water from one of the Hess stations?
Quick cab ride and you are all set.
