We are planning a grocery delivery and we have been asked what grocery store we would like to pick. Is anyone out there familar with grocery stores in the Disney area? We want a reasonable one and are wanting to buy fresh fruits and veggies. Thank you for any help you can give.

Have you checked out gardengrocer.com? I know they deliver to resorts. We plan to place order with them for things like water and a few other things I don't want to take with us.

We have used only the resort grocery stores... everything has been great and put away nicely before we arrived @ SSR and OKW.

Have fun!

I picked wegoshop.com She will go to any store that we want. My problem is that I do not know what stores are in the area. I guess I can just ask her for suggestions. I just thought maybe someone out there could help with a suggestion. We usually shop at Safeway or Haggen. Those stores are not in Florida.

Publix is a good chain and they usually have a nice produce section.

I believe wegoshop.com also will shop at a WalMart Super Centre, if you prefer. Personally, I've had issues with their fresh produce locally (Arizona), so I'm not sure I would select that option if produce is a significant portion of your shopping.

The other grocery chains are Winn Dixie (have heard a lot of negative comments, but never shopped there) and Albertsons. We have Albertsons in Arizona, and they seem to be pretty good for the most part (varies from store to store with the managers), but I've been told by locals that Publx prices are slightly better over all.

Just avoid Goodings. They're in The Crossroads near WDW and very high priced, even for an independent.

The owner of wegoshop seems like a real sweetie. I think that, if you don't specify, she'll try to get you a good price on the stuff you order... she's local and knows the prices. I even asked her about the possiblity of her picking up an umbrella stroller (in the $20 range-- it seems as though it would be cheaper than renting) and she didn't have a problem with it.
