Is there a company that will deliver groceries that does NOT require you to be present when the delivery is made? I'm happy to leave a tip on the credit card for the delivery personnel, just would rather be in a park on day of arrival. Thanks!

I used Garden Groceries and wasn't there when they delivered, actually they called my cellphone to let me know that it was dropped off and I was still in the airport waiting for my flight.

I've also used the Garden Grocer, they are awesome and will leave the stuff for you. Great service.

This is exactly what happened to us last year. LOL! We were waiting to board our flight in Boston & Garden Grocer was calling me & telling me they were delivering our order. We have used them twice now & they are wonderful!! No problems what soever & they just leave your order with Bell Services at the resort & you just pick it up when you get there. It is so worth it to us & they have always delivered everything we order. Highly recommend!!!:thumbsup2

Goodings. www.goodings.com

Gooding's delivers to your resort's Bell Services. Bell Services then contacts you. They keep your cold stuff cold if you're not in when they call.

This is the ONLY way Gooding's delivers. You actually can't arrange with them to get your delivery straight to your room ... they ONLY deliver to Bell Services, and thus whether or not you are in your room at the time makes no difference to Gooding's. Their service charge is higher than Garden Grocer's, but part of that covers the tip for the delivery person, since there is no way to tip them otherwise.

We have a family suite reserved at ASMu for Sept. 11-19 and have been thinking we'll use Garden Grocer to order some items for lunches to take into the parks with us as well as snacks, bottled water, diapers (so I don't have to pack them!!), etc. Besides the standard pb&j sandwiches, what are some other items on your shopping lists that make easy lunches/snacks?? I'd love to hear your ideas so that we can have some variety. TIA

Our biggest grocery need is breakfast. We're not huge breakfast eaters, and my wif and kids are sleepyheads, so if I had to wait for them to eat breakfast somewhere and then go to a park, we might as well call it lunch. By having food in the room, they can graze as they slowly transition to joining the awake world.

We get yogurt, bagels, margarine, deli-sliced American cheese, cold cereal, milk, instant oatmeal packets (we use the coffee maker to heat the water for the oatmeal!), bread, peanut butter, deli-sliced turkey breast, grapes, bananas, bottled water, soda, and some junk food.

Us too! except we are only there the 12th-19th. We always use DDP, but am still looking for quick snacks to throw in the stoller for the parks and also quick breakfasts! :goodvibes

WeGoshop and our groceries were in the Bell services area, cold stuff in the fridge and all...We got the call and went to pick up our groceries at our convenience.

Would recommend using this type of service again.

How long will bell services hold your groceries? We are arriving at MCO at 10:00pm and are anticipating arriving at our hotel around 11:00pm. Should we have our groceries delivered that night or wait until the next morning?

We plan to go to the parks the next morning and don't really want to wait around for the groceries. Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you.

Bell Services won't care when you request them. BS runs 24 hours a day, so even if you wait 'til morning it's not like you should need to sit aroud and wait for them ... call for them as soon as you wake up!

I ordered mine for the day we were arriving but we weren't arriving until after midnight, they held them and we picked them up once we checked in around 1am. That way we had our cereals and milk for the morning.

This is our first trip to Disney and I planned on ordering breakfast items from GardenGrocer. If we are not there when they arrive, will the resort keep them for us in a cooler/refrigerator to prevent the milk and yogurt from spoiling. We would rather head to the parks upon arrival instead of waiting for the food to be delivered.

Quick question: Is Garden Grocer allowed to deliver to the Disney Vacation Club resorts? Only wondering because I think each resort has its own on-site mini mart.

Thanks

:welcome:

Yes, Bell Services will keep your cold stuff cold for you. No worries!

I didn't realize they leave your groceries with Bell Services....and I had planned on ordering quite a few groceries. Have others ordered a lot and had no problems with their things being stored with Bell Services?

we had 4 or 5 bags of groceries, including 2 bags of cold stuff...We picked them up late a night and put them on a luggage rack thing with wheels...It wasn't an issue for us to pick them up because we were close to the Custom House (we were in Aruba) and my husband is one of those "I'd rather just do it myself" kind of guys...I did have to have my second choice of delivery days though, so I would recommend ordering as early as they let you...Of course, we did arrive on Christmas Day and that may have had something to do with it!

I've used Gooding's 3 times. The ONLY way Gooding's does deliveries is they deliver to Bell Services, even if you're in your room at the time. Therefore, I've had Bell Services store my grocery delivery for me three times.

I've never had any trouble with it.

In fact, on my 2006 trip, we didn't arrive at the resort 'til 11 p.m. (we had a 10 p.m. flight), so our groceries had been at the resort for much of the day. ALL of our refrigerated stuff was just fine, and we had a bunch: milk, cheeses, yogurt, etc.

This is our first time going to Disney, is the grocery delivery the best way to go, or is there any grocery stores nearby or on site?
