Hello
Interested in finding out about grocery delivery to the resorts. Does bell services keep them for you until you can pick up? If you have a late arrival (after 11pm) can they still be delivered to bell services and we can pick up when we get there?

Also input for who you've had the best experience with, thanks!

I might be inclined to schedule a delivery for the next day if I'm arriving after 11. It's more that I'd just want to get to the room and not wait for lightly staffed luggage assistance or bell services to look for stuff.

I've used them all over the years, Amazon, Garden Grocer and Publix through instacart. Although the last time I used instacart, they had to call me to get my last name to leave the delivery with bell services. One year I ordered from all 3 due to pricing and supply chain whack a mole.

Do you prefer one over the other? We used Walmart last year and had no issues. We also had to switch rooms after receiving our groceries, and Bell Services moved everything for us, including all of the groceries and stuff in the refrigerator to the new room.

It's usually a matter of pricing/inventory more than anything else and it mattered more when we were still buying diapers/pull-ups/swim diapers. Someone would be out of stock on the type or size we needed.

We have used Instacart for the past several years with no problems. We have the service at home so it makes sense for us. We use Publix and have them delivered to the resort - I always add the items we want to the cart ahead of time (make sure that you have the correct address for the resort you are staying at selected!) and when we arrive at MCO, I go ahead and place the order. We always meet the delivery driver because we do order some wine/beer for the room and have to show ID, however I know friends of ours frequently have bell services hold their orders that don't include it. Like a previous poster said, if you are arriving that late, it may be better to place the order and have it delivered first thing the next morning.

We used Kroger last year, after having used Instacart a few times. No complaints with Instacart's service, but we felt the prices were getting high, and there were lots of substitutions (usually with larger sizes). Kroger sent us exactly what we ordered-no substitutions-and their prices seemed much cheaper. We scheduled the time of delivery for a couple hours before we were scheduled to arrive, and that's how it worked. We had 1/2 gallon of ice cream, and I was concerned that it wouldn't be frozen, but it was. However, we ordered a box of donuts and they were squished. Overall, we were very pleased, and will order from them next time.

We’ve used Prime probably around 5 or 6 times, with only a couple glitches. The first was the delivery for whatever reason was placed by our door in the hotel, rather than left at bell services as they’re supposed to. I had milk in the order, but fortunately it wasn’t there long and the milk was fine in its insulated bag.

The second time was my fault..when placing the order I failed to put either our room number or name..can’t remember which, it’s been a while. As I didn’t know they’d tried to contact me (I hadn’t seen the notification), the order was returned and our money refunded. It was no problem to re-place the order the next day.

We subscribe to Prime anyway, so we’re used to using it.

staying at GF for a couple of nights prior to our cruise and not hiring a car so wanted to get our wine for the cruise through a delivery service. Plus some snacks and water. Just wondering which shop you used with Prime? I know that if ordering alcohol we need to be there to collect it to show our ID so probably better to order after we’ve arrived

We are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort. Can we get it delivered to our room, or at least to the building we are staying at so we don’t have to lug them back from bell services?

I don’t think I’ve ever put our ro number on a grocery order (that makes me extremely nervous). We’ve ordered from Publix via INSTACART, Walmart, and prime all without issue. Noticed Publix pricing was significantly higher than Kroger but for whatever reason, I was having issues with Kroger. Ended up using Publix because part of group had very specific items they needed and Publix was the only one with stock.

Not via the Grocery Delivery service to your building or your room.

What you are able to do is have Bell Services deliver your items to your room. There may be a $6 fee for the delivery in addition to any tip you provide to the bellhop / bell attendant.

You should not ever put your room number on any order, and if you order before your arrival you don't even have a room number. We always include the Reservation Number, and the Primary Guest name.

The pricing is higher due to Instacart add-on for Publix orders. Kroger is direct via their own refrigerated delivery trucks.
