I almost forgot one of the highlights from the weekend...how could I do that? Ok, so our friends that came over had asked me awhile ago if we wanted to go to DL with them in Feb. I said it would be fun, but we'll have to see. When they came over on Thursday, she told me they are booked and she asked again if we could go. So, I jokingly asked my DH if we could go and he said "yeah, that'll be your Christmas present!" I said "are you serious??" He said, yeah, go ahead and book it now, pay for it now and be done with it!!!! OKIE DOKIE!!! So I got my Christmas present on Thanksgiving day, it's really a family gift (obviously) for us all, but I think I may be the most excited!!!!! We found excellent deals on airfare, and the hotel. Needless to say, I'm super estactic!!!!!

Walgreens had Whitmans for 4.99 a box with their c/o and I had a $2 c/o so got them for $2.99. RA had Russell Stover for BOGO the $17.99 a box plus I had $2 c/o and a $10 gift card , plus they had smaller boxes for $5.99. The big box will go to the Latchkey teachers , I need one for work for sure and I know the others will find a home . Chocolates are always a good gift!!

what a weekend! We had some friends over for Thanksgiving dinner. They come over at about 1, we ate, and played some cards well into the night. They went home late Thursday. Friday we called them and invited them back for leftovers, this time they brought an overnight bag and stayed the night with us. Yesterday morning my friend woke up and wanted to go shopping, so me and her took off and went shopping. They ended up staying the night again last night!! We had such a good weekend with them!

Corinna sounds like you had a great weekend. I remember in my youger days doing weekends with friends. It was always so much fun. The kids have play mates and the adults don't have to leave the house .

And what a Christmas present! I am so happy for you. Again you are going to be with friends and you guys can babysit for each other if you want some time just with DH.

Let me share one of our special memeories. One Christmas when kids were about 12 and 7 DD opened a gift that was some kind of electronic game. I was confused because I thought I had bought that for DS. A few gifts later DS opened a gift containing a PINK FROGSKIN PURSE. DS cried and cried. I guess I mixed up the name tags. Every year someone mentions that purse to DS.

DisneyJan, I was able to get my expired coupons cleaned out yesterday so I'm organized again and will be sending you an envie either today or tomorrow depending on whether I'm brave enough to face the ice and snow out there this morning. Fell on my keester yesterday morning in the church parking lot even though I was holding my dh's arm on the way in. Ouch as well as extremely embarrassing!! If I get my nerve up, I'll go out and do a couple errands including stopping at the p.o. Have a good week and watch out for that snow and ice!

Glad you can use them

So it's illegal to have two cards if one is the dh's and one is the dw's? Only one per family?

I have one and Dh has one. Never had any problems with it. The cashiers at both of the stores close to us know me and that I have two cards ( mine and DH's) and they have never said anything about it being illegal. I'm going to keep using them until they change the rules. And I agree it stinks that a few people get greedy and ruin it for everyone.

Corrina.....We went and saw Twilight Saturday. I told you I would let you know if I liked it....I thought it was pretty good. It stayed a lot closer to the book than I thought it would with the exception of the big fight scene at the end in the dance studio. And few things were different but nothing like what I have seen them do to a lot of books turned into movies. I drug my poor DH along with me and I know it wasn't his favorite but he said he thought it wasn't that bad and for him to say that about a chick flick is pretty good

I thought the movie was ok, too. My DD14, who is obsessed with the books, has seen it 3x now. She's very happy with how it turned out, considering movies based on books are never as good as the books themselves. No Oscar performances, but the movie was not the disappointment I expected it to be.
