Hope this is the correct forum for this.

We are staying at BWV in June.

I have registered with gardengrocer.com, planning to order from them, but I understand there is a $50 minimum and that this minimum cannot include the alcohol. Is this correct?

My problem is that this trip is going to be relatively short, only DH and I, we will have DP, and are going to a wedding one of the days we're there. So I am having difficulty spending the $50 minimum. (I started filling my shopping cart earlier today, just to see.)

Since we are flying, it is difficult to pack even the small amount of wines/liquors we want to bring with us. I have been thinking of stopping at a grocery store on the way from MCO, but we don't get in till 9:30 pm. Are the grocery stores open late?? And, do they sell wine and liquors? (We may want to buy tequila for margaritas, or gin for g&t's.)

How about that wegoshop service? Will they shop only for alcohol? Is there a minimum?

Any answers/advice would be welcome.

Oh, we will be staying our first night at Hotel Royal Plaza...before we check in to BWV. Maybe we could get a taxi to a nearby store the next morning, before we go to BWV??? (We probably will take a taxi to BWV anyways due to DH's recent ankle surgery.) Any opinions on that? Or would it be a horribly expensive taxi ride?

I do remember taking a taxi from OKW to Gooding's and it was $10 each way. I am also looking at GG for our October trip.

I was just on the Gardengrocer.com website and didn't see anything about there being a $50 minimum. Delivery is free for orders over $200, but other than that, there is a $12 delivery fee for all other orders. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure there isn't a minimun....:)

I can't speak for Garden Grocier, but Wegoshop.com doesn't have a minimum...

My friend just used Wegoshop while staying in a Studio at SSR... Marge just picked up some snacks, fruit, and wine...

She managed to work the delivery into her route even though my friend didn't call to place the order until she arrived...

Gardengrocer has a $40 minimum. I just placed an order with them this morning for our trip in July. It doesn't have the minimum stated on their website (or if it does, I didn't find it). But when I tried to check out, it wouldn't let me until I had at least $40 worth in my basket.

Also, from what I have heard, wegoshop requires you to be there for delivery while gardengrocer will leave your order with bell services if you're not there to receive it.

I am not sure of minumums but LOVE using GardenGrocer. I have had questions in the past and have emailed them and they are very helpful and quick to respond.

Maybe shoot them an email or call and see what they have to say. :)

Thanks for your replies. I thought I had read on the boards about a minimum for GG...apparently got the amount incorrect.

I guess I'll call/email GG and wego to ask directly. I don't mind paying a bit extra for the convenience of having someone shop and deliver for me.

I just don't want to buy a bunch of food, etc... that will go to waste because we can't/won't eat it.
