Great Talk with CM re Free Dining!!

My brother and SIL are going to a wedding in October (17-21) and are most likely staying at WDW, does anyone remember what dates they offered free dining last year ?

The last day for free dining last year was 9/27. So if you checked in by 9/27 you got FD for your entire stay up to 14 nights.

From what I have read for the past three years what you are saying is impossible. Although in the past week there have been 2 posters that claim that they DID get a AAA discount AND free dining. Most members believe that it was accidental if they believe it happened at all.

i just got approved last night for mu visa card. I'm getting so excited about free dining but i keep reminding myself i wont quailfy for it , since I plan on going in NOv.- BUMMER! I wish i could handle the heat but i cant, so i'll never experience free dining-lol! I hope to use my visa reward on food-oh well

You will get the dining for your entire stay. We went in 2005, 10/2-10/8. Free dining ended I think on 10/4, but because we were booked prior to the promotion ending, we got it the entire stay. Which goes by the nights you are staying.

Ummm are you sure about this? We got a 40% off code in an email - and the dates ended on 9/27 - based on the old way of booking you could get it b.c we were checking in on 9/27 - so on the old way you could have the discount for the whole trip. I called three times this year and all three CMs insisted that the new policy was that it was only good for the dates listed and that I could only get that discount for 9/27 and then pay the regular rate for the other nights. So wouldn't this be the same for the dining plan?

WDW has changed the way they do reservations/discount codes. In the past, you would get free dining for the entire stay if you checked in before it ended. No official word about how things will be this year, but if it's anything like the way they're handling other discounts, the free dining may not extend past 9/20. Hopefully everything will be cleared up when the official announcement is made.

Right now we have the AAA rate for our trip. Can you book the package with AAA hotel rates AND free dining?

Just checked yesterday on this- its one or the other, according to both AAA agent and Disney CM

You will get an email from Visa on Monday... but more than likely the code will pop up here first!

I just wanted to say that I've had a Disney VISA for 3 years and have never received an email from them about any Disney discount offers. I always get my information from the Dis.
