What's the promo again? :)

Do you know if the add-on incentives are still good? Think it was something like buy 110 minimum, get 100 developer points?

As far as I know.Laurie said eveything was the same for 2 weeks. So I took it that it was still the same too.

I just signed on. My incentives were the money off for points, 2 free annual passes, and 160 developer points!!! I am a brand new member, not add on.

Which sales office did you buy at?How many points did you do,225?

I think there is always a promo of some kind, right? I don't want to pull back the curtain for anyone that isn't ready, so stop reading here if you are easily upset. DVC isn't selling "discounted" contracts. They sell for what they think the market will bear. They say the price is $104 then they offer incentives or promotions effectively selling contracts in the $95 range. THIS is the price. The incentives are just a marketing device to help buys feel more pressure to buy now, thinking they are somehow saving money. ;) Keep in mind that many DVC contracts resale in the $85 range.

so if you buy 225 at 96 per point you pay roughly 21,600 plus closing fees? How much are they? How much would payments be assuming you put down the 10% for the 10 years?

How did you get the 2 free annual passes? We are thinking of buying, but buying 160 points with the money off for points and 100 developer points. But free annual passes would really sweeten the deal!! :cool1:

The passes were only available at the Doorway to Dreams store in Chicago. :sad1:

That would be cool!!!

If we buy and haven't signed our paperwork or it's still 15 days into buying and another better offer comes out, we could cancel and take the other offer?

I think it is 10 days,I am not sure though

Well thats the thing noone knows whts going to happen. But I cannot see them bringing down the price evn lower if thats what you mean, I just dont see that haapening if anything they will up the price a bit.
Now thats JMHO.
Who's to say the next promo won't be better?

It all depends on the activity in the market. If they have sufficient buyers, price will stay the same or gradually go up. If they start having a drop in buyer interest, or lose more to resales, then the price will go down, probably via a new promotion or incentive of some kind. Certainly seems like they are doing pretty well, so I wouldn't count on a price drop but you never know.

I think it is 10 days,I am not sure though

I just purchased 320 points (broken into two contracts) over at AKL (August 2007 Use Year) and they gave me the following deal:

320 Points From 2007
320 Points in Aug 2008
200 Developer Points as an incentive
$96/per point after incentive.

So apparently there are other tiers for higher point purchases! I figured it was a good deal before Contemporary starts selling and they raise the prices. I also had a referral too so I think that helps with Developer points..

Hope this helps,

Don
