Great Haunted Mansion Portrait Experience

Hi all,

New to posting here, but a long-time Disney fan. I've used this site many times to help plan trips, so thank you to everyone for the great information!

Now it's my turn to share. We had a fantastic experience in Memento Mori this past week getting our spirit portraits done, so I documented it all on my blog. I thought you all might enjoy it too. I can't wait for the finished portraits to arrive in the mail!

It is right outside the Haunted Mansion gate, you can't miss it.

One thing I didn't mention in the blog, I do think the experience could be improved just a titch if they had a collection of props to wear for the photo. Things like high collars, shawls, bow ties, hats, etc. We were both there with t-shirts on, I think the effect would have been even better with a bit of dress-up.

Actually, they took care of all of the mailing at the cashier in the shop. Disney was running a promotion, free shipping to your home on anything you bought in the parks/resorts. I guess it was supposed to end the week before we arrived, but for some reason they kept it going. Nobody mentioned it to us all week until that visit to Memento Mori. A super nice cast member named Cheryl let us know that we could have our photos and frames shipped directly to our house at no cost. So of course we did!

And we stopped by Town Hall on our way out of the park and let them know how much we appreciated Cheryl's help. She was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful!

Disney's ship to home is a great feature, even when you have to pay for it. DH uses it for my gifts he buys for me often. But you are right, even when you pay for it they are not very forthcoming about it

This was our favorite souvenir of our trip last week. We purchased the cool Haunted Mansion picture frame as well. They are fantastic!

That is my absolute favorite thing I bought in Sept. I had it out all of Oct. I hated putting it away! Every time I go back I will get a new portrait with a different expression!!!

Oh now that I see what it is I can't believe we haven't done this yet! My fiance's favorite ride is Haunted Mansion so this might be one of those things I add on to our post wedding trip as a gift for him.

Hi KitKat, I'd put that in the blog post, you might have missed it. The photos are $20 each. They can only do one person per photo, it's just the way the equipment is set up. If you want a nice haunted mansion frame for the photo that's another $25. They're really nice, you'll be tempted.

Can/will they do babies? How long do you have to hold still? It would be cute to have all 4 of us done, but my twins will only be 10 months old.
